In a perfect world, do Robert and Madrigal both get called up in mid-April next year?

Another option is to send Basabe to Charlotte when he's healthy. I've touched on this before, but would they consider moving Robert straight to AAA?

Yeah, he's an interesting player. I keep expecting him to fade, and he just keeps producing. I suppose he did fade a little last year after moving up to AA, so we'll see if he can sustain the nice year he is having so far. I think he has an outside shot at becoming a 4th outfielder at the big league level.

Do you think Booker moves up to AAA when Robert gets promoted?

The first name I think of when I hear that description of not playing baseball until later in life is Tim Anderson, and he continues to get better. Which specific White Sox draft picks are you thinking about?

Move him up to Charlotte and move Robert to Birmingham. Roll with an outfield of Rutherford, Robert, and Gonzalez, with Adolfo as the DH.

Didn’t Collins begin last year in AA with a historically bad start? Then he turned it around in May. I could be remembering wrong.

Completely forgot about Walker. He’s been great, even if it is at a level too low for where he should be. The AA outfielders have been bad, but it’s a big jump moving to AA and it’s only April 12.

Robert, Collins, Cease, Sosa, Zavala, Lambert, and Flores are all off to a good start. And the most important two (Robert and Cease) have been phenomenal.

Why not just send him straight to AAA in May if he keeps raking like this?

Obviously. When Robert is ready, he will move up, and he will play CF. But we have other OF prospects that could impact the big league club in a couple years. It’s worth discussing what will happen with Gonzalez, Rutherford, Adolfo, and Basabe.

I guess I’ll answer my own question, but perhaps Gonzalez and Rutherford on the corners, with Robert in CF. Booker would be the odd man out, and Adolfo would continue to DH. By the time he could play the field, you would hope things work themselves out. When Basabe comes back, who the hell knows what will happen. Is it unheard of to get promoted from A to AAA? Or would you just send somebody from Birmingham to Charlotte, even if they didn’t quite deserve it, in order to make things work?

What happens with the AA outfield if Robert gets an early promotion?

Pardon my ignorance, but does this mean that they can stay in the minors for all of this year and all of next year, but then they have to play the 2021 season with the big league club? And they can't be sent down at all in 2021 without risk of another team claiming them?

Take out the four pitch walk to start the game, and he actually looks pretty solid.
