03/26 vs. Arizona 2:40 PM
Two nice defensive plays by Yoan so far in the first two innings. One on a bunt where he charged and made a pretty good play, and one on a pop up down the line where he made a nice running catch (made it look a lot easier than it was). In Eloy's first at-bat, he hit it well into the LC gap for an out.

Predict the White Sox Record After 30 Games
First 30 games include 6 against KC, 6 against Baltimore, 7 against Detroit, 2 against Cleveland, and 3 each against TB, Seattle, and NY. What will their record be?

Giolito thread
Also, Giolito needs to learn how to pitch from the stretch. Once one guy gets on base, all hell breaks lose.

Giolito thread
Exactly. And we even saw it first hand with Giolito last spring. If I recall correctly, he was pretty good last spring...then not so much during the regular season.

Giolito thread
I did not erase last season, which is why I said my hopes are not high for him. Why did you ask if Keith Law saw his last outing?

Giolito thread
Just to make sure I understand how spring training works: If you are good, it doesn't mean anything. But if you are bad, it means you are bad. Is that accurate? (My hopes certainly are not high for Giolito, but I just want to make sure I understand how spring training results work)

Zack Collins at First Base
This should never be a team's line of thinking with the #3 pick. Take the best player available, period. If Vaughn is the best player, then take him. If not, then take somebody else.

FS: White Sox Should Be Pleased With 3rd Pick
I don't think there are recent trends to go off of here. When have the Sox recently avoided the best player available in the first round because he was a prep player?

But have you seen his new stance?!?!?! I think this might be the year!!!

Roster Cuts Thread
Ever since I started working, every single day of my life is worse than the day before. So when you see me, that’s on the worst day of my life.

Can't wait for the minors to start
Beautiful response to an ignorant post.

3/10 vs A's, 3pm, whitesox.com
You think Delmonico opens the season in LF?

3/8 vs Angels, 2pm
Sounds like a right handed version of Bernardo Flores. I love pitchers like that.

Callis White Sox Tweet Q&A
Exactly. That was kind of the point of my original post. If that’s what our team would look like without any signings, which spots do you anticipate needing upgrades the most?

Callis White Sox Tweet Q&A
Callis has the exact same rotation I projected for 2021 in the Personal Opinions Sox Rebuild thread a few days ago. Not that it's going out on much of limb, but I thought it was interesting. Below is my post. Thoughts on the lineup?

3/8 vs Angels, 2pm
Perhaps you are more familiar with the T-Mobile team?

Is he on the Verizon team?

Personal opinions on Sox rebuild pieces.
If we add zero players through trade/free agency and don't re-sign anybody who will be a free agent, how does this look for a potential 2021 team? Which spots would we likely need to upgrade, and which spots are least likely to come to fruition? Obviously Vaughn at 1B is the least likely because there's a chance we won't even draft him, but I wanted to have a little fun with including our top pick from the 2019 draft. Everybody has a different opinion of the outfielders in our system, so you might have Basabe, Rutherford, or Walker instead of the guys I have there. You also might have Giolito, Hansen, or Flores in the rotation. Rotation: Kopech Rodon Cease Lopez Dunning Lineup: Moncada 3B Robert CF Eloy LF Adolfo DH Vaughn 1B Collins C Gonzalez RF Anderson SS Madrigal 2B

I think we will need to sign or trade for a #1/#2 type pitcher. Then we'll need either Kopech or Cease to be the other #1/#2. The other three spots can be filled with Lopez, Giolito, Dunning, Hansen, Flores, Lambert, etc. This means one of Kopech/Cease could completely bust and we'd still have our future rotation. Or if both of those guys hit, then we'd only need 2 of the 6 guys I listed to become a part of the rotation.

I can't believe there are people who feel this way. Is it because he was the #1 prospect at one point and people expected him to come out and be Mike Trout right away? I don't know how any intelligent human being could watch Yoan and have no hope for him. It's ridiculous.

Spring Training Thread
Makes sense. I’ve always been high on him, but he does need to prove it in AA this year. And we could actually have a scenario in the future where 5 of our outfield prospects are starting (LF, CF, RF, DH, 1B).

No love for Gonzalez?

Last Two Offseasons
I have similar thoughts. The Machado/Harper debacle was ridiculous, but I really don’t have any issue with a lack of other moves. The heart of our young core will be up in 2020/2021, and we need to convert on some free agents at that point. I think most people felt that if we didn’t convert on Machado, then we shouldn’t be making other moves yet.
