And that's a back over .500 two TD and a two point conversion 15-2 White Sox winner!
I apologize if I’m being an idiot, but what does this mean? Did he hit 99? Or was 97.7 his top speed? Also, I wasn’t able to watch a single pitch tonight, but I’m catching up on everything now. Wow, what great game.

Who gets blame for Nishida bunting inability?
I’m a math guy, so I’m always thinking in terms of probabilities. Once it was 0-2, I turned to my son and said “I’d still let him bunt here. Probably around a 50-60% chance he’ll get the bunt down, and it’s much less likely he will move the runner over if you let him swing” If it was a different pitcher, sure, let him swing. But I didn’t like the chances of him moving Acuna over once it was 0-2 against that lefty.

Game 2 Twins at White Sox 6:40 Ryan vs. Burke
Tough lefty on the mound. I liked attempting the bunt still. Just gotta execute it.

They just made it official. Schultz to the IL.

2026 MILB Catch-All
Pretty cool that he got his OPS up to around .800 now. And he can’t even legally have a beer for another 7 or 8 months.

Good to see you posting. I’m assuming you have trouble accessing the site like some others.

Pretty tough numbers to improve upon, though.

James, what are your thoughts on Lackey?

Trade Proposals
Ha! I’ll pass on the bet. I don’t want to feel responsible if he starts tanking, even if it’s a dumb avatar bet. I’m also the last guy that knows anything about fWAR and pitchers. But I have always been a huge Davis Martin fan, even before this year. He can throw any pitch in any count for a strike. In that regard, he has always reminded me of a right handed Mark Buehrle.

Trade Proposals
I have no reason to believe he won’t. He looks really good.

5/19 Sox @ Seamen 8:40PM
If I’m writing that, I’d say zero runs since we are qualifying it with “after the second batter”.

Absolutely crazy that we won that game. And I love every second of it.

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
Thanks for chiming in, James. Easy decision if you were making it? Or would you consider Emerson/Lackey?

Oh, I completely agree, especially when you’re dealing with shortstops.

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
Good info. Thanks. So does having Colson at SS affect who you want in this draft? I know you want Lackey, but if we had Meidroth playing SS every day right now with no Bonemer or Carlson in the pipeline, would you want Roch?

Same here. Either on my phone from home WiFi, or from work on my laptop connected to WiFi.

If we take Roch and he ends up having a Dansby Swanson career, but at 2B instead of SS, would you be happy with that? I feel like I change my mind daily on this pick. I really want a superstar, and my gut is saying that's not Roch. But you also can't miss on this pick, and he's the least likely to be a "miss".

5/18 White Sox @ Seattle 8:40pm CDT: Schultz vs Woo
You’re right. I just researched it further. As long as it only hits the glove and flies into the air, it’s still a strike out. Crazy.

5/18 White Sox @ Seattle 8:40pm CDT: Schultz vs Woo
Yeah, that’s what I think. I wonder if they’ll go back and take a K away from Schultz.

Quoting myself here, but after looking it up, I still think I’m right. That can’t be a strike out, right? @Look at Ray Ray Run

I’m still confused. I thought a foul tip strike three caught by the catcher had to be a clean catch. Guess I didn’t know the rule.

5/18 White Sox @ Seattle 8:40pm CDT: Schultz vs Woo
Tonight has actually confirmed my feelings. Nobody who is baseball dumb thinks to drop that liner on purpose. Nobody who is baseball dumb notices the 3B is well off the bag and tries to steal an extra base on a walk. Yes, it didn’t work out, and he’ll be the first to tell you it wasn’t the right time with nobody out and 3/4/5 coming up, but he’s a really smart baseball player.

I think Antonacci has one of the highest baseball IQs in the team.

The problem is that people still don't realize how good Colson is defensively. He wasn't labeled as a "great defender" when he was a prospect, like a Billy Carlson is. In fact, many scouting reports had him moving to 3B at some point, and many fans can't get that out of their heads. Colson is elite defensively. The stats and the eye test both say this. It would be crazy to move him to another position. We truly have one of the best shortstops in all of baseball.
