  1. What made you choose September 1 as the beginning of the time period showing him as the worst outfielder?
  2. With the three pitchers we have going and as tough as the opponent will be, this feels like a playoff series.
  3. The 1.098 OPS over 47 plate appearances in AAA during rehab. The post you quoted said “might” be coming around, so I’d say those numbers at AAA show his offense “might” be coming around.
  4. It’s so hard to give a grade when you aren’t a part of the conversations. Take the catcher position, for example. I wanted Stephenson, but he didn’t even move, which tells me the asking price was too high. I think if Getz traded for Stephenson, my grade for him would be even lower because of who he had to give up. But do I know that for sure? Of course not. Bart very well could have been the best option without giving up too much. And if you upgrade a position of need in the best way possible, then that deserves an A. But it’s crazy to give an A for a Bart acquisition. In summary, I have no clue how to grade it. Strictly in terms of how much better we got, I’d give it a C.
  5. Gotta love stoppage time. GMs just needed a quick hydration break first.
  6. With an OPS of almost .700. Getting something close to .700 OPS from our catching spot would be a huge improvement.
  7. So basically for free. Wanted Stephenson, but guessing the price was too high.
  8. I think Getz found out what the league thinks of Mason Adams while trying to make other deals. And since he would likely be out of the organization anyway next year because of a roster crunch, might as well get something for him. Vielma is the key here. No clue how likely he is to become something eventually.
  9. He could be part of a deal where a couple pieces have been agreed upon but they are still discussing the rest.
  10. The pitching matchups and going against the team with the best home record in all of baseball will make this an incredibly tough series. I’d be fine with taking one game.
  11. You’re underestimating the deepness of it. I’m talking Mariana Trench levels.
  12. Thank you, Jack Handey.
  13. I bet he’d like pitching against Cleveland’s offense more than the Dodgers.
  14. Assuming he means adding something about “down in the order” instead of just “down”. Makes it sound like he wants him down in AAA.
  15. I first thought this thread was about moving him down to AAA. I was ready to explode.
  16. You absolutely need take on the 3-0 count in that situation. He would still have to come at you two more times with the game on the line. And the 3-1 pitch was a slider. I don’t mind that take at all. The 3-2 pitch was the issue, not the previous two pitches.
  17. Wasn’t pretty, but we got it done! Horrible traffic coming home, but so much easier to sit through after a win.
  18. I’ll be there with my son. We’ll do our best to bring home the split.
  19. Quero has been terrible this year, but with the shot you are referring to, he only had one pitch to get the job done and he hit it hard.
  20. Yeah, good call. How would people compare them from a talent perspective?
  21. How does Detmers compare to Jose Quintana when we traded him to the Cubs? Seems like neither are/were considered an elite pitcher, but then you look at the stats and you realize they are pretty damn good. Quintana did have one more year of control than Detmers has, if I recall correctly, but I was shocked we got both Eloy and Cease.
  22. Do you think he will go for more or less than this package? Hagen Smith, Kyle Lodise, Colby Shelton
  23. I’m calling a Carlson home run today.
  24. If you want to raise your OPS from .649 to .707 in one night, just hit three homers and take one walk. Easy.
