What should the Sox do with James McCann?
I consider James a leader and a core player. Do the Yankees have pricey veterans on the bench? Yes. I would make a serious 3-4 year bid and see if someone outbids the Sox. You can cut costs somewhere else like DH. When you have value its OK to pay a fair price. Most of their pitching is cost-controlled. Losing James will hurt the team.

All bad pitches to Robert. Very poor approach by Lou.

Mazara needed to be worked with as a project. Shorten his swing and don't pull the ball. Or just ignore him.

Stone targets RR?
Bart Johnson on Chuck Tanner. Bart signed KW. Chuck did it because he was so positive. He wouldn’t tolerate negativity. The other thing was that he took the best guys north every year; he didn’t care how old they were. Remember Chuck could intimidate guys, too. He was, I think, 42 or so and he was a big guy. If you did something wrong or got him angry he’d take you into the clubhouse and just kick your ass. And it wasn’t just the players. I remember one time one of the writers wrote something about us, quoting guys anonymously, and Chuck wanted to know who was quoted. Chuck called us together in the locker room and asked us about it. No one admitted that they said anything, so he got the writer into his office. We’re sitting there and we hear things getting thrown around: bang, boom, crash. The writer came out crying like a little boy. Chuck was trying to find out if one of the players said something, or if the writer was making things up. I think he slapped the crap out of him.

In terms of pi Ricky is mince meat. Ricky is a youth coach with a case full of participation trophies under his belt. I would not follow him to the promised land.

Keuchel along with Betts maybe the two best signings. Keep it going.

I think arrow down is quite apt. What this team needs is the Chevy spirit squad dancing on the dugout.

Where veteran hitters go to die. It's a Hall of Shame but we will see. Covid will be a great excuse for 2020 failures. Mazara looks lost and who knows with Edwin.

Sox just lost most embarrasing DH in 120 years of MLB
That would be the KC A's just before slithering off to Oakland fame and fortune. At one point Charlie Finley wanted to swap franchises with the Sox since he was based in Chicago. Hawk played for those A's before signing with Boston for the pennant race.

Sox just lost most embarrasing DH in 120 years of MLB
Four losses in Chicago in one day. Only in Covid 2020 could that happen.
