Packing up the gear heading to KC. Fuck Cleveland

Cleveland is doing all they can to avoid Cease today. They just need to call the game so the Sox can get on a plane and get to KC at a reasonable hour before having to play an early afternoon game.

Looks like they will get the game in. Haven't announced a start time but I'm guessing it will be a 45 min to an hour delay.

Sox really need this one. Big difference between 1.5 and 3.5 GB. Cleveland has a very tough next 12 games. 2 at San Diego then 4 at Seattle followed by 3 at home against Baltimore and 3 at home against Seattle. All 3 of those teams are fighting for a playoff spot.

Let JC go one more and then Hendricks.

Can Perez get to Clev by noon tomorrow ?

Hate to see Grandal get injured like that but the writing has been on the wall for awhile now. His legs have just taken too much of a beating over the years. His bat speed has gotten way slower because of that. Might very well be the last we see of him in a Sox uniform.

TLR starting Grandal over Sheets because he has a feeling that he is about to break out because he hit a couple of pitches hard. And you wonder why this organization is the laughing stock of the Majors.

What a disaster of an outing from Giolito. He has basically become a number 5 starter. With this line up the Sox pitching has to be near perfect to have any chance.

Not fooled by the two comeback wins to start the series. This team has so many deficiencies. Can't burn up the bullpen today before the Clev series.

The next 7 games, 3 at Clev, 1 at KC, and 3 at Balt will tell us if the Sox are done or not. They only have 6 games left against Clev so 2 of 3 this weekend is almost a must.

This team isn't making the playoffs with both TA and Robert out of the line up. There are already too many holes in the line up without missing those two. The starting pitching would have to be lights out the rest of the way and as Giolito is showing again today that isn't going to happen.

Have to be happy with a split. This team just doesn't have enough offense without TA and Robert in the line up. The bottom 5 of this line up is just a black hole of nothing offensively.

And tomorrow will be the biggest game of the season and so on until Oct 5.

Sox need one of these last 2 games with Houston and then get 2 of 3 from Clev over the weekend. After they play the Sox this weekend Clev has a really tough 12 game stretch with 2 at San Diego, 4 at Seattle, 3 at home with Baltimore and 3 at home with Seattle. All those teams are fighting for a playoff spot. The Sox, Clev, and Minn have pretty much the same difficulty in schedule the rest of the way. The Sox have 6 left with Clev and 9 left with Minn. This thing looks like it will come down to the last week to be decided.

You are 1 GB with 45 games left. You do anything and everything to win this thing. If a competent SS becomes available you go after him. You might catch lightning in a bottle for these last 7 weeks. TA should be back for the last 2 weeks correct?
