Story on Sox trade possibilities...
Jimmy said a Top 100......I'd rather take a single Top 100 than 2 45s.

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
The Cease trade was almost identical value based on that site (44m return vs 42m given up) and I think the Burnes trade was pretty close too.

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
Depends on new ownership. If Elias has nothing to work with besides prospects he will hug prospects. If he has a legit budget, he may be willing to trade prospects particularly those who provide most of their value in the bat.

If he can hit 30+ bombs from the left side that would be great, but all the value is in the bat. If he turns out not to be a monster masher due to chase or groundballs or whatever, then you've got nothing to show for the pick. High risk high reward.

Fedde + Crochet will require multiple things BAL is unwilling to pay. Crochet alone will also require multiple things BAL is unwilling to pay. If BAL wants Crochet by himself, it would likely take both Kjerstad and Cowser

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
As Jimmy has mentioned it will take more than Beavers to get Fedde

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
Fedde + Banks has substantial value. Obviously, if Crochet is the headliner, that could easily net Kjerstad but it would also require much more from the O's.....more than Elias is willing to pay. So then the issue becomes if Chicago won't take Kjerstad as the headliner in a Robert/Crochet trade...what else do u need to add to Fedde for Kjerstad. I think Fedde and Banks is a pretty good offer. Ofcourse we are also dealing with a prospect hugging team so logic doesn't matter.

Ugh...sell Fedde for power. Have they not figured out that there's only so much a limpdick style offense can do? Fedde should be in a package for Kjerstad.

Crochet DeJong Fedde Vaughn Pillar listed among Top 13 trade candidates at MLB.com
I doubt anyone will offer a Top 30 overall for Fedde, but alot of folks, including Jimmy think he will fetch a Top 100.

Rosenthal Article on Luis Robert trade value and yes others notice he's injured a lot
What kind of package would you accept for him at the deadline?

Rosenthal Article on Luis Robert trade value and yes others notice he's injured a lot
I agree he's lost value but I'm still not giving him up for approx 44m in SV. With a very low BABIP, I expect him to have a sizzling (and hopefully healthy) second half and then hopefully teams will make better offers (60+m SV).

I'd be very surprised if Kjerstads SV was significantly higher than 24m given defensive concerns.

Keith Law mock draft has Cags at 3. He has Sox taking Wetherholt at 5 but he also notes that we've been connected to Cags, Burns and Griffin.

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
BTV has Fedde at 11.6m SV (some here have suggested it should be higher) and Banks at 12.9. That's about 23-24m SV..I don't know the current Kjerstad projection but it's prolly somewhere in that area.

Sheets trade?

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
I'm fine moving Fedde and Banks right now for Kjerstad. Crochet will cost way more yes and Elias hates giving up prospects. He will prolly try insisting on Norby first before he parts with Kjerstad.

This means high ceiling HS prospect i.e. Griffin.

Seems ChiliIrish must be hearing what Harold is. I really really want LH savagery, but the 1B thing scares me because if you miss then there's no redeeming value there. I wonder if Getz is feeling heat because small ball failed miserably and he's under pressure to get some kind of legit bats that are MLB ready (Kjerstad) or kind of close to it (Cags) cheaply.

White Sox "actively seeking" packages for Robert
His BABIP is below .200 so I'd expect his average to roar back with a vengeance soon.

CANNON FIRE! And that is a White Sox winner!
Great job Cannon.....8.2 IP shutout.

That's basically what Jimmy says. Harold.....you sure you heard Jac?

2024 - MLB Draft Thread
Harold, everyone knows the last part isn't true. It's highly relevant, and even Getz has alluded to the fact that "it's easier said that done" when people asked why they aren't spending. The idea that a GM isn't going to take into account how his owner operates and how he spends his money when putting together a roster is absurd. None of these decisions can be made in the abstract and indeed we see Getz ALREADY making major decisions based on Jerry. We know Jerry doesn't pay big deals for good starting pitching because he is afraid of pitchers perpetually breaking so Getz went pitcher heavy in the Cease return because how else is he going to acquire pitching? Every decision has to take into account JR.

Seems like Jimmy and Harold are hearing conflicting things. I certainly would love to add legit left handed savagery more than anyone but I also understand the risk in using a Top 5 on a 1B. Like Vaughn, if it turns out that the bat isnt special, then you've no other value there and there is a ceiling on how much WAR you can get from a 1B. Should be interesting. Perhaps Getz should focus his energy on pulling Kjerstad from BAL so we can use the draft for other purposes rather than immediate needs.

Regretting the Lost Julks
His BABIP was super high in the beginning but it's now normalizing

Guess Trade Values of Sox Starters
Fedde and Banks for Kjerstad. Also Mookie Betts broke his hand maybe we can trade DeJong to LAD.
