Garrett Richards to Boston, 1 year $10 million.
Everyone will regress, and on the other hand the young pitchers have ZERO chance of ever getting better and reaching their potential. This is such a miserable pessimistic fanbase.

The Wainwright to the Cards Thread
You do realize the youth on this roster is not the finished product, right? There is still a lot of room to grow for many of the young guys on this team. Relax

Foodies: Sox/Giolito discussing an extension?????
Exactly why no more trades from Farm SP depth should be happening.

Hector wrong. Again. - Cruz back with Min
I don't think anyone has said Vaugh sat on his ass the entire 2020. Going from College Ball to 200 ABs of MILB to simulated Batting Practice to the Big Leagues is a bit much to ask for, I don't care how polished anyone thinks his bat is. And it's not as if in those 200 MILB ABs he tore the cover off the ball.

Hector wrong. Again. - Cruz back with Min
The whole Vaughn DH thing was ludicrous to begin with. a) People forget he's only had 200 minor league ABs. b) You don't burn the development of the 20th best prospect in the game to plug at DH because you had no one else.

Lance Lynn says hello.

Hector wrong. Again. - Cruz back with Min
There was a lot of struggles late last season with this offense.

Hector wrong. Again. - Cruz back with Min
It's almost as if he's just playing Toilet Seat GM, as I do sometimes.

Hell, even Mickey Mouse Yolmer would do.

Hector wrong. Again. - Cruz back with Min
Cruz would make the White Sox line up elite. To go with an elite pen and a very solid 1-2-3 TOR. That's World Series material right there.

Hector wrong. Again. - Cruz back with Min
Of all the moves (outside of pipedreams like Bauer and Ozuna) that have been kicked around here (including some insane ones), Cruz by far gives me the most excitement. I'm fine if this is the last splash we make, I'm fine going with Reynaldo as a SP and Collins as 2nd Catcher if we get Cruz.

the old Corbin Burnes thread, we have a new Burnes thread
To give up a Top 20prospect, I wish it be for a pitcher with a little bit more of a track record than Burnes.

the old Corbin Burnes thread, we have a new Burnes thread
This is why if the Sox were willing to get rid of Vaughn, Blake Snell would have have been the guy to go after using Vaughn as the lead piece.

6 years of Vaughn means you'd have to sign Ozuna for a minimum 4 years to make it worth it. a) It doesn't appear the Sox are willing to make a long term financial commitment like that. b) Ozuna is that much a pending DH as Eloy is. Having him for 4+ years makes no sense.
-

Seriously. At this point, I rather take my lumps with Reynaldo and use the money to get Nelson Cruz. Make that offense elite.
-

OK, I keep hearing that's not enough. So that means Vaughn and or Kopech.
-
the old Corbin Burnes thread, we have a new Burnes thread
I'm having trouble understanding the thought process here. If you were willing to trade the farm, why the hell didn't we go get Snell?
-
the old Corbin Burnes thread, we have a new Burnes thread
With the lack of commitment to ever spend top $$$, Kopech becoming an elite SP is almost a must at this point.
-
the old Corbin Burnes thread, we have a new Burnes thread
Sure, Moncada and Robert too. I still don't get this silliness over a guy with 150 innings under his belt.
-
the old Corbin Burnes thread, we have a new Burnes thread
Burnes for Kopech one for one, yes, count me in.
-
the old Corbin Burnes thread, we have a new Burnes thread
So with 150 career innings in 3 seasons, Burnes is all of a sudden an "ACE"?
-
the old Corbin Burnes thread, we have a new Burnes thread
I don't get it. Some people had a meltdown for trading a single prospect for a legit 2 x Cy Young candidate in Lynn. But we're OK to unload the Farm for a guy with less than 150 career innings in 3 ML seasons? WTF is going on here folks? STOP TRADING AWAY THE LITTLE BIT OF FARM TALENT LEFT. FREE AGENCY.

Jose Quintana...Signs with Angels (1YR 8M)
The camp disappointed the Sox aren't in on Bauer is the delusional portion of our fanbase. If you haven't figured out the White Sox (shitty) business model by now then you haven't been paying attention.

Jose Quintana...Signs with Angels (1YR 8M)
In essence, a 5th starter is what's needed. I've been saying since last Spring, one of either Cease or Kopech needs to end up turning into a TOR stud in order for this rebuild to have been a complete success. Quintana as an affordable #5....yes, sign me up.
