Or maybe we overrated our core talent? -

Full strength for us would include Vaughn and Eloy. Even then, with the free fall regressions in Abreu, Grandal, and Pollock....I don't see our offense ever being able to go toe to toe with the Yankees or Astros. -

If Cease couldn't hold those bat downs last night, pray for rain or COVID the rest of this series. -

Hopefully the sexual discrimination finally rids us from the Rick Hahn era. -

Grandal for this plus next season as backup catcher and DH is a bad situation. At that salary. -
This is so far from the truth. He's on a "pay as you go" deal, for nickels. He's just not ready yet, plus I don't think they're ready to dump Keuchel just yet.
-
Those guys sure would make this team hit better, catch the ball better, and stay healthy.
-
If Tanner Banks can't be trusted holding a 6 run game, then why is he here?
-
Yep, that's concerning.
-
This loss sucks. But we won a Keuchel game yesterday. It's baseball, it balances out.
-

I agree with this 100%. However, it's not a good look for Hahn and Co to be paying a PT catcher $18 million this year and next season. Especially on a team always "limited in financial resources" and also with a surplus of DH / 1B candidates.
-
Everyone's personal catcher preference because the guy gettting paid $18 million sucks .

Madrigal, Kimbrel, Pollock. Kimbrel will still end up being the better piece of all 3 when it's all set and done. -

He's got a .280 something OBP%. He sucks too. -
Leury or Harrison or Mendick? The options aren't great.
-
Lineups out. Yaz DH after off day. If 3 of the 5 starters have to pitch to the B catcher, that Yaz contract has become a colossal failure.
-
I think for the Sox bullpen to be what it was designed to be, Bummer has to be a key factor there. I had no problem with LaRussa rolling him out last night hoping for it to click for him. High leverage (when / if we get into contention) will need to be a combination of Kelly, Graveman, Bummer, and Hendricks.
-
I mean, plane tickets to and from Charlotte are not cheap (these days).
-
I really wish Leury would stop that pop up catch glove snap. Hotdogging idiot.
-
I would say "most" is the correct word.
