    This thread is such an indication of why the Sox struggle to sell tickets, even when they're good. Opening day will not sell out this year. Our fanabse just flat out sucks.

    I thought that was on him, but it wasn't. Replay showed he had a good enough jump on the ball, just not fast enough to get there.

    Outside of the Rays, no team scouts better IMO than the Padres. I'm pretty sure they won't be fooled by a ST sample size.

    What's odd here is that Hahn found a reason to give Velasquez a guaranteed contract instead of using this same deal on him. No one was lining up for Velasquez’s services.

    This move literally cost the Sox nothing. Plus, it only improves their negotiating stand w/ teams looking to trade a veteran (Montas) by telling them we have have bodies on standby if a trade can't be made.

    We just added a 3 WAR player from 2021 and they added a 2 WAR player. You guys just like to freak out about everything. Always squint with one eye when the Rays make a trade like this.

    Hindsight is undefeated. Obviously by the Pollack move and being close on Manaea here at the end, the Sox had a plan in place.
