QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 03:30 PM) shoulda started. He hasn't faced the Desperate Housewife yet.

QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 03:27 PM) Could Harold Reynolds be any more biased? Gross Ks, 1 down. Reynolds has taken his fellatio skills away from the Twins and applied them to the Rays. He's such a floozy.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 03:25 PM) WTF??? Do they know that the rosters can change each series? Unless they have a legitimate excuse, anybody who chose to go home should be moved this off season. Eh, if they really needed someone they're a plane ride away. Personally, I'd go with the team until the end, but some guys would bolt if they're told they're not needed. I know it sounds like I'm talking out of both sides of my mouth, but to me it's two different situations.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 03:24 PM) I assume they mean they were still off the roster, but yeah, same thing. I didn't hear them talking about it, but the post said they were given opportunities to be there and chose to go home. If they were left off the roster, then why would anyone be upset that they went home?

QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 03:23 PM) if i remember, we handled kazmir relatively well last time we faced him i hope mark shows up tomorrow, looks like we're going down 0-1 Does Clayton Richard start Game 5?

QUOTE (JoeCredeYes @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 03:21 PM) Stone and Farmer talking about guys that were left of the playoff roster who were given the opportunity to be with the team, but chose to go home. Can't watch the game right now, anybody know who their talking about? They sound like the Sox brass aren't happy about it. Sounds like one guy who has worn out his welcome is MacDougal. Anyone who chooses to go home instead of going to the playoffs is a loser and a coward.

Vazquez was good on a s***ty 2007 Sox team. Vazquez was s***ty on a pretty good 2008 Sox team. Stakes are raised, returns are lowered. That's Javy Vazquez.

When my back blew out and I had to stop playing softball. Even when I had to quit floor hockey I still had softball to fall back on. Now I don't do s***, and I feel like I'm 150 years old.

It's stupid s*** like that that causes my Cub fan friends and family to go insane. Only the truly idiotic embrace the "curse" and all its manifestations. There's nothing cute or romantic or mystical about losing. Losing Sucks. Always has, always will. Maybe if they treated these games as just GAMES, rather than exorcisms, goat executions, blowing up "cursed" baseballs and all that other nonsense, maybe they'd win a few of them.

The bad news for Cubs fans is that their season basically rests in the hands and unstable mind of Carlos Zambrano.

People are booing already? Damn, how fickle.

Mr. Tallon...tear down that Wall

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 12:38 PM) Spector's Rumors I really think the rest of the league could give a damn about Bulin. He might rot in Rockford. Wow, I thought he might draw a little interest. If Tallon can't find a new trade partner, then he probably does go to Rotford until someone's goalie gets hurt. -

QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 10:19 AM) No doubt they will have to give up some draft pick or take on a somewhat bad contract to dump Khabi. Or it's possible it turns into a Samsonov deal where someone claims Khabibulin at half-price if and when the Hawks try to recall him from Rockford. -
"Soxtalk" brings up some Red Sawkz garbage and WSI.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 09:54 PM) The last pitch of the game was 100 mph. We all saw his curveball tonight as well. Bobby + playoffs = deadly. I did yell "CURVEBALL!!" at my TV when Kubel was up. I was happy as hell when I saw Bobby throw one to get him.

According to SportsRise, no one put in a waiver claim for Khabibulin. I'm not surprised, I'm sure any team interested would want Tallon to eat some of his salary. -
QUOTE (dasox24 @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 01:56 AM) The only complaint I had with TBS was how Harold Reynolds was blatantly rooting for the Twins. He was annoying the hell out of me. That was annoying my wife big-time. She said "aren't these guys supposed to be unbiased?" I just laughed at Reynolds because I think he's a retard.

I'm proud of them for taking care of their business the last 3 days. I don't regret being upset that they couldn't take care of things much earlier than this. They looked nothing like potential AL Central Champions last week. But they ARE the 2008 AL Central Division Champions, and now I just wait to see if they can go any further.

QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 07:48 PM) I must have missed something there. Why was a throw needed? Wasn't there 2 outs??? I'm glad Griffey was in CF and not you.... -

Did Stockton just call them the Twinks??? -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 01:44 PM) So out of curiousity, where do you stand for the SRO tickets. It better not be the concourse - that's reserved for people who don't want to sit in their seats.

QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 01:32 PM) I don't disagree, but I've seen the plaques and they're pretty nice. It's law enforcement, so it will have his shields (for a couple of different agencies he worked), etc. And the guy retiring was responsible for purchasing the plaques in the past, so it's something he likes. I'm just trying to find a quote that suits him. Basically, he's the type of guy that loved his job, and the only reason he's leaving is that it's federal law enforcement, and he's hit the mandatory retirement age of 57. Why didn't you say so? "Retirement....It's The Law"
