I'm a bit concerned about the speculation/perception of Ladd losing interest when he's on the 4th line (I feel that's what happened to Ruutu to a substantial degree), but the other comments make me hopeful about him. If he is, in fact, turning the corner or "flipping a switch", that can be a very good thing for the Hawks. Just an aside - now that Lapointe is gone, who gets the 3rd "A"? I say it should go back on Toews and it should turn into a C in a year or two.

If Dale doesn't make some kind of significant deal after months of posturing, it'll be a pretty big disappointment. I'm kind of surprised Dallas is dealing away Mike Smith - I thought they were high on him as their future #1 goalie. I guess they're trying to go for it now. Can't blame 'em, I suppose.
