QUOTE(Soxfest @ May 28, 2007 -> 05:13 PM) The word making its way to many of those in TNA is that Rob Van Dam has no interest in coming to work for the company. Several in TNA management are not as hopeful of signing RVD because they were subject to the rumor mill none to long ago with Chris Benoit. Apparently Van Dam believes he has enough money to retire, but is open to working a lighter WWE schedule. That's good news for TNA, Van Dam's act is tired and played out.

I had a very interesting drive home from work tonight. I'm second in line in the left lane at a stop light, there's a car next to me and a car in front of each of us. The driver of the car in front of the right lane gets out and walks to the car next to me with a gun in his hand. I get the f*** out of there pronto, but all three cars soon go flying by me - I decide that a left turn is in order. A little further south I see about 6 squad cars, lights on. I drive past to see them surrounding Mr. Handgun and his buddy. That's the closest I think I've ever been to a pissed-off guy with a gun, and it's closer than I ever want to be again.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 27, 2007 -> 09:30 AM) There was a lot of talk on sports radio that Liddell was more or less doing the media push(Entourage, SI, ESPN interviews) and probably would lose because of all of the focus he put on the media aspect. The way I interpreted it was that he was on the buffet circuit and wasnt training the way he was supposed to. He didnt prove any of that wrong. Honestly, the shot he took to the mouth didnt look like something that would KO him like that. Chuck didn't seem puffy to me. Maybe the media jaunts distracted him, but I think the KO had more to do with Jackson (and a possible quick stoppage, although I have no real problem with it, since Chuck's hands were down) than Chuck's preparation or lack thereof. The shot seemed to catch him while he was moving backwards a bit, and definitely rattled him to the point where Rampage could pounce on him and rain punches down. Legit punch, legit KO, legit win.

If Chuck was going to lose, that was the way I expected it to happen. Caught with a stiff shot, knocked off his feet (that part did surprise me) and Rampage pounced on him. Chuck will be back, no doubt, but Jackson's got to be in his head now.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 26, 2007 -> 12:35 PM) I can't believe any Sox fan would dislike the guy. And I wouldn't expect a fan of any other team to like him. He's an irritant, but he is also a hell of a "gamer" (the predecessor of the "grinder"). He's my second-favorite Sox player behind Jim Thome. There's a study in contrasts for ya!

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 23, 2007 -> 03:41 AM) Fact: 95% of women between the ages of 21 and 30 named Brooke are extremely hot. I've never met an unnatractive Brooke, I just assume there have to be a few...somewhere. The goofy-looking wackjob on the Denver Real World falls into the other 5%.

QUOTE(BigEdWalsh @ May 26, 2007 -> 12:53 AM) Nancy Wilson of Heart was pretty damn good. Nancy's the guitarist (although she does some singing), but Ann's the lead singer and she is still REALLY good. Some favorite female singers of mine, along with Ann: Annie Lennox Chrissie Hynde Shirley Manson

That's what you get for being Mr. Hot Shot Credit Card Man.

QUOTE(Brian @ May 22, 2007 -> 09:04 PM) Or "Chinlocks, C*nts, and RKO's." I can make fun of one of my favs as well. Other possible titles: "The 350-page Rest Hold" "Entitlement: A Life Story" "Too Much, Too Soon, Too Dull: The Randy Orton Story"

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 23, 2007 -> 03:37 AM) Twice in the car I've heard a song by a band that sounds so much like early Pumpkins, it's not even flattering. I keep forgetting the name of the band. Anyone know the band by any chance? Once I see the name again I'll remember. Well, with THAT kind of detailed description, who could fail to name that band??? "You know, it's the band with that guy and they kinda sound like that other band from a few years ago....."

BOOOOOOOO. Now, the Finals just became a lot less interesting for me. Go Sens, I guess.

QUOTE(Brian @ May 22, 2007 -> 07:19 PM) I taped Raw cuz I was at the Sox game and Fast forwarded through it in like 20 minutes. Do not gt showcasing Lashley on Raw when he is an ECW talent. I was at the game last night, too, and I forgot to tape Raw. One look at the recap was all I needed to know I didn't miss anything.

QUOTE(BobDylan @ May 22, 2007 -> 01:25 AM) I always felt like their whole career was forgettable. I was never a huge fan, but I liked some stuff off of Gish and Mellon Collie.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ May 21, 2007 -> 12:37 PM) Man, three pages in and nobody answered my question! *sigh* That whole "if you think she's ugly, post a picture of your...(whatever)" makes me chuckle. We are talking about personal opinions here, ya know? IMO she is VERY "blah". Doesn't mean she is to "you" though. Ya know, "ugly" people do get married because somebody finds them attractive. Again, personal tastes. I hate Mountain Dew, but a lot of people love it. Dude, if you hate Mountain Dew, post a picture of YOUR soft drink! I bet it's not HALF as good as Mountain Dew!!!

QUOTE(Soxfest @ May 21, 2007 -> 11:31 AM) With his current run with the WWE Heavyweight Title, John Cena has now passed Bret Hart for the 6th longest WWE Champion of all time. Cena, who just recently turned 30 years old, is way ahead of Hart who didn’t even get his first reign as Champ until the age of 35. The only people that have held the strap longer than Cena are Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, Triple H, Pedro Morales, and Bob Backlund. Cena would not of mid card guy back then...............................I loathe Cena Never underestimate the power of merchandise sales.

QUOTE(Iwritecode @ May 21, 2007 -> 12:23 PM) I'm always amazed by this. What's the point? This guy is actually going to try and say he didn't do anything wrong? Pleading guilty = automatically guilty. Pleading not guilty = go to trial, hope to get a stupid jury your lawyer can confuse and/or distract, maybe not get convicted.

Selanne scores in OT. Quacks lead series 3-2. Critic is unhappy, haters are happy. AFLAC!

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 20, 2007 -> 03:44 PM) Wrigley is great. Cubs losing+beer cut off = empty stadium Yep. The beer's not cut off at any of the countless bars near the park, so awaaaaaay they go. Can't blame 'em today - it's a little cool out there and the Cubs are throwing a stinker at them.

Uh-oh. Aardsma warming up.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 20, 2007 -> 03:34 PM) NOW we waste a Thornton outing when we're up 8. Figures. Logan's tired.
