QUOTE(BearSox @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 07:14 PM) Lets not get too picky... we all know we'd hit it if we got the chance. I wouldn't buy a magazine full of pictures of the women I'd "hit if I got the chance".

I know it's chippy and grindy, but I really hate trading two outs for one run. -
QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 04:47 PM) Me neither. I find her more dirty. I'm still up in the air if I find her funny or not. I think she's occasionally moderately funny, and she's okay looking, but I agree about the "dirty" aspect to her. She seems like a fun chick to buddy around with, but she's not HAWT by any stretch.

I hate fearing that the game is over if Rodriguez gets a hit. That's how low my confidence has gotten in this team's ability to come back in a game. -
QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 06:33 PM) Honestly? I'm WAY more serious about my BBQ than I could ever dream to be about my beer. I have busted my butt to learn about BBQ. Have you ever tried to brew your own beer? If so, how did it turn out? If not, I'd imagine that's why you'd be more serious about BBQ. The hands-on stuff is always taken the most personally.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 04:11 PM) You always want to do a little rub of some sort, even if going with a sauce. You can buy a rub, or try one yourself. I usually like to do a brown sugar one with some spices and garlic in it, always "winging it" though. But the nice thing about a slight rub is that within on sitting you can sauce half and eat the rest wet. More fun that way, IMO. As for baby back or spare, that all depends on which you prefer. I used to prefer baby back, but now prefer spare by a LONG shot. If done right, you can't beat the spare rib. Either way, be sure you peel the membrane off the back of the ribs. It's tougher to do than anybody will lead you to believe, but it's worth it. Throwing a rack of ribs on the grill for 10 minutes or so is NOT doing ribs, by the way. They need to slow cook, on a smoker. You can cheat by boiling, but the flavor just isn't the same. My ribs usually take about 6-8 hours. Your first few times doing it, be prepared to over-smoke them and deal with the creasote bitterness. It's not terrible, but expect to be burping it hours later. I cook with only lump charcoal and real wood. I'm using cherry right now. No briquettes get anywhere near my food. You really can taste a HUGE difference. Smoking is an art, and it takes time to learn it. The biggest hurdle is managing your temperature and keeping it consistent over time. I don't know how you learn it, but you just do. All of a sudden I was holding a nice 200 degree without even realizing what I was doing. You just learn you smoker. Lastly, if you are smoking, what type of smoker are you using? Wait a minute.....you're a beer snob AND a BBQ snob?????

QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 11:47 AM) Scott Steiner suffered an injury to his trachea during TNA's house show in Puerto Rico over the weekend. He is scheduled to have surgery soon, possibly as early as today. Steiner is scheduled to reunite with his brother, Rick Steiner, in a match against Team 3-D for the TNA Tag Team Titles at the Slammiversary PPV. That match may now need to be changed. It is not known how long he will be out but one would assume that he won't be back for awhile. His trachea probably just quit from frustration during a typically horrible Steiner promo.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 10:10 PM) Here's hoping Orton beats Cena for the belt so the smarks sleep.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 10:32 AM) I guess if you want to call a guy who sells moves well, has great ring psychology, and is a natural arrogant heel, boring, than ok. Orton is a throwback. Remember when you didn't have to be good on the mic to be good. I guess all the "smarks" hate Benoit as well cuz he is boring on the mic as well. But the difference is, when guys were bad on the mic they gave them a manager/mouthpiece. Nowadays they give guys eye candy to walk to the ring with, and the eye candy usually can't speak well either. I like Benoit, although I think he could use a "move-set makeover". His matches have been pretty predictable for a while now. I wasn't commenting on Orton compared to other wrestlers, though - I just don't enjoy his work.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 01:52 AM) A year ago I would've said the same thing about Sweet Lou. What's the update on Barret?....... and more importantly, any pictures of his cosmetic surgery? I heard his breast implants look uneven.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 11:27 PM) Actually watched the PPV tonight. Pretty decent. All the matches were good. McMahon/Lashley was what it was. LAshley fighting 3 guys before finally getting one on one with Vince. Cena/Khali was short so that was a good thing. Surprised to see RVD win as a swerve but Orton ended up getting the last word in and gave RVD a vicious DDT. I still don't see what the internet smarks hate Orton. They guy sells moves very well...oh wait, he uses a chin lock. Ladder Match had some screw ups but some high spots. Not one of the netter ladder matches. I can't speak for ALL of the Internet smarks , but I just find Orton really, really boring. His promos are dull, his matches are dull and his finisher is recycled (which would be forgivable if he didn't bore me to tears getting to the Diamond Cutter). To me, he's been every bit as "shoved down my throat" as Cena, and I just don't enjoy any aspect of his work. Other than that, he's great....

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 06:14 PM) Ozzie's chair shot = stiffer than the Van Daminator done to Angle on ECW in one of the first shows (the one where RVD whiffed and Angle still sold) Val Puccio was just on TLC for a show about the morbidly obese. He's gotten up to 700 lbs. now and is really trying to lose the weight. And for ONS, supposedly RVD/Orton is going to curtain jerk the show. And from PWI: In the last couple of weeks WWE has been trying something new with the referees in their house show undercard matches. In an attempt to make matches seem less scripted, WWE will no longer be informing referees of the finish of matches before hand. The matches are now to be treated like legitimate fights more than scripted performances. Now if a wrestler doesn't get his shoulder up quick enough in a near fall situation and the ref counts three, that's the finish and the wrestler who failed to do his part will take the blame for it. It is going to force heels to work harder to cheat behind the referee's back so you won't see any more awkward "referee sees the guy still cheating and turns back around" spots. This isn't happening on TV or PPVs yet, but this is the trial period for now during house shows to see how this works. I predict total failure for the "real referee" experiment. The problem isn't with the refs, it's in the fact that too many of their "superstars" can't work. And it all comes back around to Vince's "HOSS" mentality - if he'd genuinely push smaller guys, who've had to work to develop themselves into convincing wrestlers, more believable matches would follow naturally.

QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 04:12 PM) new match added to ONS...ozzie guillen vs me in a hell in the cell match i have a spoiler- im going to kick his @$$ and win the match Apparently YOU didn't see Ozzie's MASSIVE chair shot to Simon Diamond! Ozzie = EXXXXXXTREEEEEEEEEME!!!!!!!!

QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jun 2, 2007 -> 03:15 PM) Also, the writers feel better about this Cena/Khali match since Cena can use weapons, hence Khali won't look as bad as he would working a straight match. "Vince, GREAT NEWS!!! We think we've found a way to have Khali suck a little less.....WEAPONS!!! We REALLY think that Khali can convincingly take a bunch of chair shots!!!" "NICE WORK, guys! Now I can feel justified in giving your boss, Stephanie, another raise!"

QUOTE(Soxfest @ May 31, 2007 -> 08:40 PM) Ron Killings recently responded to the news story on the incident between John Cena and himself at an airport. The following is what he posted up on his MySpace blog at myspace.com/ronkillings1: "John Cena did'nt approach me "Ron Killings" about sh$%# at the airport,,infact,,this is second run in that we've had..First one was kind of a calling his bluff type thang....even tryin to comunicate with him to see what's up with what i've been hearing,,also all the interviews he did supposely calling me out..Big Mistake,,Then he leaves voice messages on my cell talking about battleing me and about thrashing my ass,,not to mention people he's done interviews with tell me John Cena wanted us to call you so he could battle you.....Man Please!! He did what he should've done,,and that's nothing!!I wish he would try to play that battle rap sh$%# with me,,I'll just eat his ass alive, and spit and sh#$% out the pieces i dont like,,Just like I told him,, He's a Punk ass,,rap wanna be ME! So he's admitting that there are parts of John Cena's ass that he'd want to eat, and that he wouldn't spit out?

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 31, 2007 -> 07:13 PM) ERSTAD DOWN! ERSTAD DOWN!!! I know there are some people smiling right now, admit it. I'm not smiling at all, not only because it sucks for Erstad but it likely means the return of Brian "Doin' It For The Honeyz" Anderson. Ugh. Another easy out in the lineup. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 29, 2007 -> 08:28 PM) They played that "had a bad day" song in the background at the game as Danks left. I couldn't help but laugh, so true. They should have saved that for Dewon's entrance song.

QUOTE(caulfield12 @ May 29, 2007 -> 08:22 PM) If Mack or Cintron are on the team again, I might scream. Mack is a good guy to have on the bench, he's just being over-used out of necessity.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 29, 2007 -> 02:47 AM) Yikes, glad you got out of there. Me too, obviously. I was a little shaken up after seeing that s*** go down. The thing I couldn't stop thinking about is I didn't even have my cell phone on me (I forgot to take it with me after re-charging it) - the first time I might actually need it and it's sitting on my computer desk at home. Crazy what comes to mind when you get freaked out, isn't it?
