    13+5 maybe...

    They said on the broadcast yesterday that Shaq was 6' 6" when he was 13. I don't doubt that kid is 13, but man was it ever freaky to tune in and see HIM. When I tuned in, there was a grounder to short, then the throw to............Gigantor. I was like "What is this, a father/son game???"
  2. My thoughts are with you, Nick. It's terrible to go through what you've been through lately, and all I can say is that things are bound to get better, and just try to get through it by remembering the good times you had with your brother. I'm sure he'd want you to be happy and move forward with your life. Focus on your little guy, and enjoy all the little miracles he's going to provide for you.
  3. QUOTE(T R U @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 11:32 PM) Ok? I f***ing like them Rey fought in WCW without a mask for a good amount of time, what he looks like under it isnt much of a mystery to most fans True, but Vince still kind of likes to play that game with the fans that other leagues never existed when it comes to "his guys", so the whole mask thing could get played up a little bit. And personally, I hate the ending to the Flair/Foley match. They're really screwed up on who is supposed to be the "good guy" and "bad guy" in this feud. If Foley is the heel, why would he sacrifice himself to save anyone, and if Flair is the babyface, why would he attack a woman with a baseball bat? It's stupid, lazy booking, the kind that I've come to expect from Vince's band of sitcom and soap opera writers. Once again, what could have been a really great program is being botched by the braintrust over at WWE.
  4. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 04:23 PM) summerslam tonight...who isnt excited! Aside from Foley/Flair and maybe Chavo/Rey, there isn't much I'm interested in seeing.
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 03:53 PM) Good pickup for them only because their outfield has been so weak offensively. Well, yeah. If they didn't need him, it wouldn't have been as good of a pickup.
  6. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 02:04 PM) Heard on the Score, Wilson was picked up by St. Louis... Yep, he has a couple hits today for the Redbirds, including a LONG home run. Good pickup for them.
  7. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Aug 17, 2006 -> 07:00 AM) Hogan has total creative control over his character so he gets to basically have a lot of meaningful input in any feud. And from what I've heard about the McMahon DVD, Vinny Mac wanted to push an incest angle where he was the father of Steph's baby. Luckily, Steph had taste and made a decision of "Hell no." Also, they're getting rid of Amish Roadkill and supposedly going to call him "Braddock" and dress him up in generic black tights. Alright, this is one of the last straws in killing off one of my favorite gimmicks, Vince. CHICKENS! I just wonder if Steph saw it as a bad taste angle, or did she just not see any money in it? I have a hard time believing that any McMahon could find a level of disgust that they can't sink to.
  8. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Aug 14, 2006 -> 10:52 PM) I'm rooting for Orton against the One Legged Fossil. The Foley/Flair setup was really good in the early weeks but it has seemed (at least to me) that have taken a few pegs down since its inception. Foley's promos seemed to have been less quality and I really don't need to see Flair elbow dropping inanimate objects. That said though, it is going to be one of the few good matches on the PPV. There's not that much on the card that looks really interesting. I agree about Foley/Flair. I think Foley's promos slipped a notch when he had to start including Flair in the back-and-forth, and then the rushed acceptance of Flair's challenge, when Foley had repeatedly said no to it, also hurt the buildup IMO. If they had Flair do something to embarrass or enrage Foley into accepting, that would be OK, but it was just like "NO REMATCH!!" "Aww, c'mon!" "OKAY!" and that hurt the storyline in my book. It takes a LOT for me to root for RKOverrated, but I too am hoping that somehow Hogan agrees to lay down for Orton. Seriously doubt it, though, unless there's some interference/shenanigans involved. Chavo/Rey MIGHT be a decent match, but Summerslam doesn't look like anything worth buying, or even YouTubing.
  9. Well, both videos certainly have their merits, but since I'm no fan of that "Night At The Roxbury" style of music, and because the OK Go video is FAR more clever, and because I am a fan of OK Go, my vote goes to them. ....oh, and there was one too many guys in that second video, too....
  10. QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Aug 14, 2006 -> 04:17 PM) See the thing is... i dont feel like givin her a call since its not my problem.... Just go out with friends, watch some ballgames, chat up other girls while you're out, and basically act like it's over because it most likely is.
  11. Well, that sucked. Get three quick outs and get back at 'em.
  12. QUOTE(Reddy @ Aug 14, 2006 -> 07:27 PM) Pauly's shaved!? Looks like a VERY close crop on the goatee.
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 01:24 PM) Don't let them kids f*** with you, Pops. They just better stay the **** off my lawn!!! SEE THIS FOOTBALL??? IT'S MINE NOW!!!!
  14. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Aug 14, 2006 -> 12:02 AM) Critic, it's almost always a total waste of time to give yourself headaches over a girl. Yeah, I agree.............but that rare exception to the rule................
  15. My advice is the same as some of the others' - just go about your business. Hang with friends, get ready for school, do whatever you normally would. Just don't wait for a breakup call. Go out with her and see how she acts around you. If you can deal with her, then just keep hanging with her. If she's making you uncomfortable, then maybe you should break it off yourself. It could be that she's acting weird to try to get you to break it off anyway. So just don't let it dominate your thoughts. Again, you're waaaaaaay too young to be stressing a girl. You're going to meet so many more girls you'll be interested in, it's a total waste of time to give yourself headaches over this one.
  16. Heel Christian >>>>>>>>> Face Christian. And if that Nash thing is a work, that's just sad. Kev needs to think up his own bits and stop trying to take the rub off stuff happening in the E.
  17. And then after a couple playoff games...............THREE MILLION PLUS!!!
  18. I hate to be this blunt about it, but if someone wants out of a relationship there's not much you can do about it. Since she's done this before, she probably thinks she can use you as a backup plan if things don't work out with the next one. My advice? You're too young for this crap. Let her break it off and move on.
  19. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 10:20 AM) Just root for the whitesox. ...if they don't win it's a shame....
  20. QUOTE(Texsox @ Aug 9, 2006 -> 01:27 PM) participation trophies are stupid and the kids know it. My daughter loves her trophies. She played soccer and baseball for the fun of it, and didn't even ask who won or lost. She just likes to play games, organized or not. When I played pee-wee baseball, we kept score and I was fine with that. These days they don't and she's fine with that. There are pluses and minuses to both methods - for example, I didn't see any kids getting angry at the weaker players on her team, where there definitely was some of that on my teams back then. If no one's "costing you a win", there's nothing to get upset about. I'm fine with the idea of not keeping score - in my view, the younger leagues should be focused on teaching basic skills and encouraging kids to continue playing. There's plenty of time for competition later on.
  21. Neither. Let them trade wins while the Sox streak, and the Sox gain on both. The Sox can take care of their own business vs. Detroit later.
  22. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 12:51 AM) I think I also read that Dunn claims that ECW shouldn't have it's own taping since it would take vince away from the office an extra day...For some reason I dont think it's working out like they (steph/hayes/dunn) wanted. p.s. are we talking about the same michael hayes who was dok hendrix? Yep, one and the same. I hope ECW succeeds just so Steph/Dunn/Hayes can walk around whining about it.
  23. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 08:38 AM) Going to the game today and then the rest of the day will be spent packing because I'm going back to school tomorrow. Man, summer went real quick. Yeah, I'm not looking forward to the train home after work when the high schools let back in. Noisy little bastards.... [/grumpy old man crab-assing]
  24. QUOTE(AirScott @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 06:43 PM) no time on the DL either? not only that, but he's playing the best baseball of his career, and for our Sox!who was Dye's previous team, the Angels? HA! HAHA! (note: I'm just kidding. I know Dye last played for the A's, and I know that joke was absurdly lame, I could've just said he's been a God send. I apologize for the nerdy post, though intended.) The explanation made me laugh more than the joke ever could....
