  1. I love how when someone calls these retards out on their past bashings, it's considered a "creepy rant", but someone like Baby Jay's obvious obsession/agenda with bashing the Sox is considered "journalism". Convenient double-standard, boys. Don't write something if you're going to regret having it shoved back at you.

    QUOTE(wsox08 @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 12:14 AM) I actually bought one for cheap at Marshalls and now I'm going to a local place to get it lettered and numbered.. I'm saving at least $40. Any ideas on a name for mine? I'm leaning towards Rowand or Dye. I say get a Widger jersey, be original!

    QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 05:22 AM) If we win the whole enchilada ... I'm ordering a jersey with "world champs" as the player name, and "05" for the number. Maybe just "champs" for the name. I haven't decided yet. maybe WS CHAMPS for the name? ...talk about a nice problem to have, THAT would be it...
  4. QUOTE(redsoxjamie @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) I'm a SoSHer, and I just wanted to come over and say congrats. It hurts like hell right now, but you guys outplayed us on every level. Congrats on a great team, best of luck in the ALCS. We'll see you next year. Thanks for the kind words, Jamie. If I wasn't SO sick of your team, I'd say some kind things about them...lol.... But the congrats I saw on SoSH were very nice. People over there not too much in love with Theo right now, huh? When the sting of the sweep wears off you guys will remember that you tasted the ultimate victory last year, and that cannot be taken away. We haven't felt THAT good yet............YET............
  5. I voted for Duque because that outing tonight broke their backs. If they tie that game or take the lead, they get that much-feared second wind and this series could be VERY different. But STRONG cases can be made for many guys, that's the way they play!
  6. Man Soo was SOAKING Big Frank in the clubhouse after the game, rubbing champagne on the top of his head and laughing like a 5-year-old, it was GREAT to see!!! Man Soo = GREAT!!!!
  7. QUOTE(3RDBASE @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 07:30 PM) Im sooo stoked I'm on my 5th beer now! "dee beer tayss bedder wen yoo weeen...."
  8. The nicest things about all this ( besides the obvious, the Sox advancing ): No more Big Sloppy and that big-ass gap in the teeth No more Manny Being Manny, now it's Manny Being On Vacation No more Jesus Johnny and his f***in' hair No more Fatass Wells trying to dislodge his cup from his leg-fat folds after every pitch No more Curt Schit-ling looking for a reason to run his mouth No more SLURP SLURP SLURP from ESPN for Red Sawkz Nayshin The air feels cleaner already......AHHHHHHHhhhhhhhh........
  9. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 05:55 PM) He would have had the highest era out of five of the six starters we had pitch for us this year. Numbers are a good indicator, but don't always tell the entire story. Eldred was a battler and could get some key outs. I'd take the 2000 Eldred (when healthy) over Marte or Viz.
  10. Like I said before, the best matchup is this: Opposing Batter vs. Guy Who Can Get Him Out Duque was GWCGHO, Marte hasn't been for two years. Marte OUT, McCarthy IN.
  11. The zone was okay early but did seem to start getting weird. Nonetheless, the Sox fought through it!
  12. QUOTE(bigred3535 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 05:48 PM) I think Kenny deserves some serious props: 2000: 1. Jim Parque 2. James Baldwin 3. Mike Sirotka 2005 (in no particular order): 1. Mark Buehrle 2. Freddy Garcia 3. Jon Garland 4. Jose Contreras 5. Brandon McCarthy 6. Orlando Hernandez I'll take anyone from 2005 over 2000 Truth. Although Cal Eldred was solid when healthy. He'd have fit nicely on this staff.
  13. This is too f***ing sweet. If ( WHEN ) the Sox dump ESPN's other pet team, it will be even better!!! f*** YEAH!!! Now Berman can f*** off and watch it on FOX. Enjoy the ALCS at USCF, all you lucky sons of b****es who got through on TicketBastard yesterday!!!
  14. "Well, keep in mind, Rick and Mike, that Boston came back from down 3-0 to the Yankees last year and I think they can.......huh?......best of 5???....since WHEN??.....s***......"
  15. Showing the eulogy now. ( WS highlights from last year ) That's OK, it's the last we'll see of them in 2 more outs....
  16. Still feeling for the curve? Bring the GAS, Bobby!!!
  17. AJ rubs it in with an exaggerated SAFE sign! AND A WILD PICKOFF!!! THE RED CUBS ARE COMING APART AT THE SEAMS!!!!
  18. AJ is f***ing with Timid's mind. YES!!!!!!!
  19. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 05:24 PM) i wish crede knew how to bunt Looked good there....
  20. Sweet!!!! Good work AJ!!! Maybe seeing Paperboy's 95mph heater makes Timid's 91mph look even slower.
