By the way, WATCH the replay tonight, if only for Abyss' promo. The way he was talking about Hogan giving him that ring, it sounded like Hogan and Abyss got engaged. -

Last night's RAW scored a 3.1 cable rating. The show did hours of 2.6, 3.27 and 3.34 with 4,628,000 viewers. Hours two and three of this week's RAW were the two highest rated hours of TV on basic cable last night. Hour one was the fifth highest rated hour of the night. Also as noted before, last night's episode of TNA iMPACT scored an 0.5 cable rating. The show did an average of 739,000 viewers. It's safe to say that the three-hour RAW and Draft hurt TNA's ratings this week. 0.5???? Damn. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 27, 2010 -> 01:14 PM) Not sure who would argue that he isn't better than Sopel, Hendry, or Byfuglien? Not to mention that having him back put everyone back in their normal pairings, except for Johnsson still being out. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 27, 2010 -> 07:04 AM) Hawks Win!!! What a funny game that was, 7 goals in the 1st 20, then basically none for the last 40 minutes. That series was tougher than I hoped it would be, but way to pull it out. Vancouver should be a real tough series, especially after last spring's battle. They are a very physical team. The biggest thing the Hawks need to do is remind Luongo of game 6 last year, if they can get in his head and make him struggle, they should pull it out. I heard this morning that Game 1 is Friday night, can't wait! How about that Jaroslav Halak last night? I watched the 1st & 2nd periods of that game, wow. One more performance like that, and they will give him the key to the city of Montreal. Ovecheapshot has me doing what I once would have considered impossible - rooting for the Montreal Canadiens. -
QUOTE (keninem @ Apr 26, 2010 -> 11:10 AM) I don't think it's a stupid idea...anything that fuels any rivalry is fine by me, and like a few people have pointed out, it's a localized thing, college football teams do it all the time and it adds a little fun. That being said, it seems like they should make the series 7 games or 5 games, would be kinda funny to see the first 5 or so years of it's inception go to no one because of a split! Oh, it WILL be awarded - they've come up with a very Bud Selig-type of "tiebreaker". If the teams split the series, the team who won the final Cubs/Sox game of that season wins the PRESTIGIOUS British Petroleum Crosstown Cup!!!!

I hope the trophy depicts a shrugging baseball fan with a bag over his head. This is a silly but harmless idea, unless drunken idiots take it too seriously.

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 07:07 PM) Show opens with HHH getting laid out with a pipe to the back of the neck. Looks like a way to get him off TV for a bit to heal. I read that they wanted to do the pipe attack on last Monday's Raw, but Sheamus was stuck in England so they did it to start the PPV. -
Thank God Griffey's washed up.

Ozzie teasing us.

That's just knowing who to run on. Noodle-arm couldn't throw ME out.

OZZIE BALL!!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 03:30 PM) Hopefully Beckham can bang some slumpbusters tonight and find his bat speed. Too much "bat speed" with the slumpbusters could demoralize a youngster.
-
And he didn't push the ball to RF. PROGRESS!!!

Man, this run manufacturing is a beautiful thing to behold. A two-run home run right here would manufacture TWO runs.

My wife and I screamed so loud at the Hossa game-winner that her Mom got scared and ran in the room to see what was wrong. -
What a disaster this rotating DH NL lineup idea is...

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 06:50 AM) Sharks, Canucks, & Red Wings all pull out "must-win" Game 4's (two on the road), here's to the Hawks doing the mother-f***ing same thing! I actually have a good feeling about tonight - I think the Hawks will realize the importance of this game and play the way they can. -

The team is built small. If they can't generate offense through speed, it's a tough task for them to score much at all. Funny that the spot seen as the weak link has been very good other than a (pretty important) soft goal, while the perceived strength of the team has sputtered. There's time to wake up and take Nashville out, but it's running out. -

Still just in the rumor stage, but it could get interesting: [courtesy Lords of Pain] -- With Russo’s decision to step down as head writer, there has been an escalation in talk regarding Paul Heyman coming in. Those within TNA, and are close to Heyman, believe he will indeed sign with the company. Heyman signing with TNA would come off as a surprise when you consider his past relationship with Bischoff, whom have both thrown verbal jabs against one another throughout the 90’s decade. Heyman mark that I am, I'd love to see him sign on - it would be very interesting to see if he could write storylines to grab the attention of the "casual fan" on a larger stage than ECW and with freer reign than Vince gave him. -
I LOVE going to games (and concerts) by myself. No one else's schedules, preferences, etc. to take into account. Come and go as I please, get to the park really early, leave when I want. I prefer it. If I was a movie person, I'd go to those alone as well. I usually only go to a movie that my wife or daughter want to see, so no solo movie days for me.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Apr 20, 2010 -> 06:56 PM) So, its been about 2 1/2 years, and about 2 years of that long distance, and Im ready to throw in the towel. Problem is, she isnt and I have noooo idea how to do a decent break up. Any past experiences to help out? I dont want to be an asshole, but at the same time my heart isnt in it anymore and I dont know how to say that without being a douche (I mean, its been over 2 years and now to say my heart isnt in it just sounds bad to me). Pile on the fact that we never see each other, neither during the semesters nor during summer, except for a weekend every two months, it just sucks and Im ready to move on. I don't think what you said is asshole-ish at all. Your heart's not in it and you never see each other. Those are both solid reasons to end it. Be honest - there's no explanation that won't hurt her, but if you're honest and compassionate about it you can walk away with your head high.
