Know any good Bulls Message Boards?
The Critic replied to SoxFan1's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
www.lazycockyunderachievers.com www.leadatthehalfbutlosethegame.com www.skilesisdoomedlikeanyoneelsewhotriestocoachthisteam.com www.the90sweresogreat.com these are just a few - there are SO many Bulls boards on the Internet!!! -
I'm not normally a violent person, but if some Tigger-clad asswipe EVER touched my wife or daughter, the fake head goes so far up the real ass that it comes back out of the real head. f***ing horrid - not only to f*** around like that, but to ruin the thought of Disney and all that stuff for a kid in the process?? HELL NO. I always keep a CLOSE eye on my girls....my wife and daughter are absolutely EVERYTHING to me.
-
We're taking the daughter to DisneyWorld in May. 4 years old, first time there - should be great!

This might be nit-picking, but for a hockey game it's not "mid-court", it's center ice! Enjoy the game!!

There are a lot of teams I'd wake up that early to watch but the goddamned f***head pissant Spankees ain't one of them. I'll only watch them if they're playing the White Sox or if I have no choice ( like when they make it to the Series....which reminds me.....THANK YOU MARLINS!!!!! )
-
4-0 now. T-Blow let in a softie to start the snowball rolling downhill, that's why I'm throwing him in there. He's done a decent job since, but so what? This team is pathetic. Blues Brothers = over-rated film. Plus, I never could stand their songs. Not a blues fan at all. I'm flipping over to Comedy Central now to watch some Insomniac and South Park.

This has been a f***ing HILARIOUS game!! Nashville is OWNING the Slacks! It's 3-zip Preds with about 4 minutes left in the 2nd, but could really be about 7 or 8 to nothin' right now. Preds have hit a bunch of posts, and have been swarming like bees around the Slack net all night! Clueless f***ing losers taking a mess of penalties and simply have NO clue how to deal with Nashville right now! Even if they should somehow pull off a miracle comeback, they don't deserve to win this game. Completely unprepared to play. ThiBlow let in a softie in the first minute or so and they've never been in it since. HA - the season can't end fast enough! This Is Blackhawk Hockey.... :puke
-
I hope the HOT blond behind them is the new bullpen catcher!!!! NICE....

Do you think Kerry had that sign made up, or maybe was it a follower who brought it to the rally? Just asking, I don't know either way...
-
Honestly, it doesn't bother me much anymore. It's not going to change, so why stress about it? I like reading about baseball, period, so I don't mind reading INTELLIGENT articles even about the Cubs. It's the stupid idol-worship crap that I could do without.
-
I haven't been to any ST's but I read that Oz has a policy of letting guys out sooner if they get their work done "deeee rye wayeee" to his satisfaction. Maybe that has the team motivated to do things right the first time? ...it would work for me...

HEY, TURN YOUR BURNS VOICE OFF ALREADY!!!!

The Score has franchises in KC?

NR was the BEST Chicago punk band ever. Maybe the best Chicago band, period. You should check out Pezzatti's new band, The Bomb. He's still in fine voice and some of the songs have that NR feel to them, which I guess is only natural since he sings and plays guitar in the band. I doubt they'll reform again - they did a few years ago ( '97? ) for a few dates, including a Metro anniversary show, and I remember reading that while they played well, they didn't really enjoy each other's company much anymore. What did you think of "Raygun....Naked Raygun"? I enjoyed that disc a lot, but I was surprised to find that many old-school NR fans thought it was a "sellout" disc.

Israel4Ever: on the mention of the Boomtown Rats!!!!! One of my favorite bands ever!! Their stuff is REALLY difficult to find in a record store on CD, don't know about online shopping. I'd assume that Amazon has some used discs, maybe not, I'm sure their stuff is all out of print. They weren't "as punk" as the other bands of their day, but they recorded some very solid music. One of the best things about LiveAid for me was the chance to see them perform VERY early in the show ( they may have opened the Wembley portion of the concert ).

I couldn't agree less. When The Ramones came out, nobody was doing anything similar to what they were doing, so it would have been tough to be "product". They blazed the trail for the buzzsaw guitars, the speed of the songs, and the 1-2-3-4 shouted intro. It's true that they dabbled with attempts at pop music later in their career, but they should always receive kudos for the influence they had on future punk bands. I've read many interviews with the British punk bands of the late 70s who said they were inspired to play by seeing the Ramones when they toured England. You are right on the money about the Replacements, though - I saw them at the Riviera on the Pleased To Meet Me tour, and they were a drunken riot - sofas and potted palm trees on stage, the entire crowd pushing ALL THE WAY to the left, then ALL THE WAY to the right - great great stuff. And my personal favorite on Combat Rock is Know Your Rights, but that's probably my least-favorite album of the Clash. The debut disc, Give Em Enough Rope and London Calling are in a 3-way tie for my favorite.

MORE physical trouble for Prior
The Critic replied to KipWellsFan's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Just heard on ESPN1000 that Jesus couldn't do a side session yesterday due to back spasms. OH MY MARK, what are they gonna do????? It just gets worse and worse....hey, they've got Sergio Mitre, right??? -
I like everything I've seen and read about Wright this spring - I really think he ( along with Buerhle, Loaiza and Garland ) is gonna be all right. Schoenweis? That's another story....but I'm hopeful....

It can be mildly entertaining to look at for a few minutes, but the hateful/racial stuff is never funny to me. Looking at a site like that REALLY makes me grateful for Soxtalk, where we can have our fun and use any motherf***ing bulls*** dickhead obscene language we want , but people here get SWIFT JUSTICE when the hate rears its ugly head. I really do love it here - thanks again to all mods/admins/owners for making this the best Sox discussion board on the Internet!

Holy s***, what a show the Wildhearts just put on!!! Airtight, rock solid and rockin as hell!! The Darkness what pretty much what I expected - good music, bad singing, fun but forgettable - but The Wildhearts came up bigger than I had hoped for, and my expectations were high! I've been a fan of theirs for over a decade and this is their first US tour. They impressed a LOT of the kids around me, who were lukewarm to them at first and wound up cheering enthusiastically and asking me and my cousin how we knew all the words to all the songs and "Who are these guys? They're AWESOME!" All in all, it was a fun, fun night and I only WISH I had tickets for tonight's show at the Vic Theatre! If any of you are going to see the Darkness, GET THERE EARLY for the Wildhearts, you will NOT be disappointed!!!

This is a ridiculous statement. Hee Flops Choi will NEVER be half the player Lee is. Lee has more power, more speed and hits for a high average. PLUS, he is SLICK in the field, unlike Choi, who admits to "struggling" defensively. The Cubs stole Derrek Lee from Florida.

Nicely played!!

Why are the red Sox and White Sox
The Critic replied to Mathew's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Maybe Snoop Dogg's great-grandfather named the teams back then? Although if that was the case, they'd be the Chicizzle Whizzle Sizzles... It was probably just the slang of the time. and let's face it, Sox looks better in Old English than Socks would have... -
