Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
Why would the dodgers give kimbrel 16 million but not resign Jansen?

Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
Yeah, I think his pedigree and make up are what could prove my opinion and evaluation of him wrong. Hes not gonna hit a quarter of his fly balls out in 2022 and so much of his production was propped up by those homers.

Not saying he was, just saying there's a 0% chance Reynaldo Lopez is even a top 20 starter in baseball the first half of this year, let alone the best pitcher in baseball. Carlos was inconsistent but he had bouts of complete dominance with two ++ pitches. Lopez has no ++ pitches and isn't good.

I get it. To me, he's not a good enough hitter to be a full time dh, he's not better than Vaughn so he isn't going to be a first baseman, and I'm not putting him in the outfield. I wouldn't be shocked if the highest ops of sheets career was last year.

Lopez stinks. Carlos rodon had a history of completely dominating mlb hitters despite his injuries. Lopez is simply not good and really never has been.

I'd trade sheets in a heartbeat. Then again, others seem to be much higher on sheets than me

Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
The elephant in the room is that manaea is owed 10 million this year and by all accounts the sox aren't taking on 10 million in salary without moving kimbrel.

I dont think it's anywhere near a lock that sheets would outhit burger honestly.

Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
Every insider told us the entire off season there was a 0% chance he was on the team opening day. Anyone who implied otherwise was an idiot. The clock is ticking. I hope I'm an idiot before the season starts.

Still waiting on the sox to pick from all those multiple kimbrel offers they had on the table we heard so much about.

Max effort plays a part as well, but babying arms have not protected them. If anything, it allows a more max effort approach too.

Molson Coors new Sox domestic beer partner
Given that the area wasn't really driven by their previous vendor this was my expectation.

yes, babying arms and managing innings with a microscope has been great for long term and short term pitcher health over the past 15-20 years...

beat me to it. distribution does not equal brand rights.

It's complicated. InBev has the rights to Modelo/the brand but Constellation sells Modelo in the states.

No, they merged.

I get it, but Rev really has nothing to do with inbev and Goose. Seems from what was said the Sox decided to go in another direction with the rev partnership. Goose isn't a craft brand, but I will say they did a nice job marketing the Sox and etc and there were some local ties. As for golden ale and etc; I don't drink light beer ever really, but when I did I really only drank Coors light so no preference for me one way or another. I'll be interested to see what they carry in the outfield because none of those beers were inbev beers either.

I should have said: I think they still sell bottles, but I'd be suprised if it was on draft everywhere. Unless Sox had a deal solely with Modelo.

I'm not a big fan of revolution beers in general, but that is a bummer as it means the only areas for craft beer will likely be in the outfield. At least the revolution stand sold other third party licensed beers. I still think that molson has better partnership deals than inbev so I'll hold out some hope on the beer in general being better. That said, really depends on what they want to do at the end of the day.

No chance they still sell Modelo imo; at least not on draft. Modelo is an inbev staple; Miller won't want that being on draft around the park. Your draft offerings will likely only be Molson Coors brands. *changed to draft

Rev was a seperate partnership though as they're not owned by Inbev. I just think Rev didn't want to continue to pay their own fees to sell their brand there. Rev could have remained with the loss of inbev. Molson Coors and Inbev's overall portfolios are very similar in size and offerings. I prefer Coors the company to inbev personally. Most craft beer offered at the park was either Revolution solely or select partnerships with other brands that had third party licenses with their vendors.

They've got partnerships with about as many "craft" brands as inbev which is what was in the ballpark before. Lienenkugel likely replaces the fake non-craft goose island. They're both fake. That said the difference between their partnerships isn't that much different than inbev.inevitable. Molson has a ton of 3rd party partnerships.

I'm done giving Hahn a pass. Over it. Did it for too long. This lies at the feet of Hahn... of course Tony still blows. Has anyone ever seen poppy and TLR in the same room at the same time?

Basketball is absolutely nothing like baseball.
