  1. Parkman hack your account?
  2. Just gotta take a half day. In illinois you have to give full time employees a week of sick days now. You cannot demand a reason. Mental health days count. Take a mental health half day. Not required to give notice for that. I've got fake unlimited pto. I call it fake because unlimited pto makes employees take less time off than giving them a set amount of days. That said, I'll be using a day Friday on short notice and a leave/sign off early day on Thursday.
  3. Working from home permanently has its perks. Thanks covid.
  4. The dodgers won 106 games with the best run differential in baseball by far. Cards have worse run differential in baseball and had a flukey hot streak. Its not even close.
  5. That's not how the calculation worked. It wasn't against what they replaced. It was projected war lost from injured players. Safe to say robert projection was too low but the rest were reasonable
  6. I mean, there were multiple pieces written about lost WAR due to injuries this year. I think those pieces undersold the Sox a bit but the Sox weren't even in the top half of baseball in lost production. Yankees and Toronto lost more and won similar amount of games with a tougher schedule. Every team had bad injuries this year. This wasn't a white Sox problem. Sox rotation was, for the most part, really healthy.
  7. Amazing people wanted Kimbrel to close over Hendriks. Hendriks is something special. Amazing. I don't love investing big in closers but man that was a great signing. He's just on another level.. he had some bad homer luck for a couple weeks but the guy doesn't give up base runners. Never walks anyone. He's everything you'd dream of with a reliever
  8. Every. Team. Had. Big. Injuries.
  9. YeH, I think the Sox are better than the Astros and I am like you, I really trust Lucas, but it id a shame we didn't get home field.
  10. Yeah, Tony out there hitting bombs and making big plays. Irony of your tweet is Sox don't have home field because Tony decided to waste a month and countless games. Incredible skills for a 76 year old man.
  11. What a game! Best game I've been to this year. Great to see Yo. Not even Dallas could blow this one.
  12. But semien is a ss. He merely got moved to second because bichette was a young future piece for the jays. Semien is a good defensive SS.
  13. No, my point was exactly as was stated today in the article. He would be relegated to a bench role after the acquisition. If not for injuries he would have been. Hosmer is terrible. I have no idea why you insist otherwise.
  14. I would be absolutely floored if Bochy went to work under Preller.
  15. Well, I didn't know that guys on the team would die. Article today in the Athletic basically said the plan was either to trade him or bench him but injuries pushed him back into the lineup. Congrats on predicting that!
  16. lol, fair enough point and on that point i concur.
  17. Did I miss where you said the most HR's in a season by a SS in the HOF?
  18. This may be the first thread I've responded to anything you've said since around July or earlier. I know you like your hot takes to go free of any commentary, but sometimes they're just too hot to ignore.
  19. The funniest aspect of this thread was you implying Manny Machado would go under Jose Abreu's wing if he were acquired by the White Sox.
  20. No where in the article does it say the Padres have any desire to move Machado and the entire excerpt was the author speculating on a path the Padres could consider taking if they chose not to continue pushing all in, despite ownership and Preller not showing any indication of wanting to do so. The author also goes on to state that being forced to move someone like Machado, if a reset was wanted, would likely be needed because they can't unload Meyers/Hosmer for anything of value. So outside the Padres being a massive failure for ignoring roster building (as the article implies) I'm not sure why it's hilarious or anything, given that it's not even something that is being speculated or implied as expected to occur.
  21. LOL at you thinking Manny Machado would go "under the wing" of any player in MLB.
  22. So we're just pretending A Rod didn't hit 57 homers in a season as a SS now? And 345 at that position in his career?
  23. How bout them Padres , Caufield lol
  24. ... but he sucked last year, which is what we were talking about? He had a 5.6 ERA. Probably found a new Chemist this year!
