  1. Check your PM's. I have a response I want to make.
  2. Should everyone PM you their posts before making it going forward to assure that it is suitable and allowable? Don't want to offend you or your daddy LaRussa.
  3. Yeah, hope Lynn shoves; just hope this isn't some dumb LaRussa veteran angle where we trust the veteran to go twice in the series over Lucas. If it ends up that the series goes 5 and Lynn pitches twice over Giolito, that's not great managing.
  4. I don't like it at all, unless it means - as Knights said - they want to keep Lucas on regular rest and he can go game 2-5. Doesn't bode well for Carlos, which sucks. Lucas has been the best pitcher on the team in the second half; has only given up more than 3 ER's once. He's also a complete monster against elite competition and has been since he got good in 2019. He steps his game up and plays up to competition.
  5. man, don't like it at all. would rather have Lucas out there. I wonder what the reasoning is for going with Lynn. They're both damn good, but just trust Lucas more at this point in the season.
  6. This apparently was not implying he has COVID. Uh, ok pal.
  7. oh my. pal, you told people to read between your tea leafs, leafs that implied he may have COVID. You started a rumor after claiming you didn't want to. Sheesh, at least just own it.
  8. are you sure? if you have half a brain you would conclude it's possible it's still covid because of an internet rumor.
  9. lol a dick measuring contest? you have a guy insinuating a guy has COVID and then saying he's not saying that and then saying he might be but maybe not. That type of posting is just obnoxious, nothing else to it.
  10. I never said he was with the team; in fact, I said he wasn't but was likely on his way since CIshek said he wasn't. I said there's no proof or evidence he has COVID outside of the rumor you started after claiming you didn't want to speculate and start a rumor. My lord.
  11. Guy said he didn't want to start any rumors and then started a rumor. Hard to take much of what he said seriously when he won't actually say anything. At the end, he'll be right regardless I guess. He was sick. It was said to be non-covid related. Him not traveling seems as simple as not risking getting others sick. Traveling by himself makes sense. Until official word is stated otherwise, I feel that is the safest conclusion given that the guy people are using as their benchmark has said he wasn't going to start a rumor.
  12. i mean, unless he's lying, he figured that out from instagram stories, a hype video and practice that he wasn't with the team currently. You are somehow conflating that to mean that Abreu has COVID, because the guy who said he didn't want to start/spread any rumors has practically implied he has COVID and started the rumor.
  13. Hasn't he said repeatedly he has no idea and doesn't want to spread rumors? lol
  14. Vastly? I'd disagree. You're talking 3-4% at most imo. Abreu is probably worth about 5-7 cents against the game line.
  15. Pretty crazy to think you couldn't beat a team because you lost one player. This isn't the NBA. Of course they could beat Houston with Abreu.
  16. Yeah, wouldn't be weird at all if he was under the weather and they didn't want to risk getting anyone else sick so he traveled by himself.
  17. All is well, NotCishek tweeted that Abreu isn't with the team so that means he's likely on his way and everything will be fine. NotCischek is never right.
  18. Do the Astros really need to prepare for keuchel? If anything we should say we're pitching Dallas in hopes of the Astros throwing a party and getting too hammered.
  19. I'm not sure what you're asking. They're going to prepare for the pitchers they're going to face. The order they face them is pretty meaningless. There are no games being played right now. The analysis of the data and information is being done for the series, not for the order the Sox chose to throw their guys. That's all I'm saying.
  20. Regular season is over. Advance scouts scout based on all pitchers in a rotation. The scouting report on the guys the Sox are pitching is out. The order of which they pitch is entirely meaningless. The Sox aren't going to be throwing some unknown arm out there. The Astros aren't going to prepare differently for the series based on the order the White Sox decide to throw their pitchers. I've got no issue with LaRussa waiting - because who cares, honestly? - but playing this off as optimal strategy is comical. Nothing changes. The same guys are going to play. There are no secret weapons waiting in the wings that the Astros don't know about.
  21. yeah, Houston has no idea what pitchers are going to throw. It's top secret. Heard Black Jack might be coming out of retirement. Serious question, do you think you go into the series differently as the Astros if Lynn goes game 1 instead of Giolito?
