It's about to be July and leury has a 482 ops and yet he is never replaced during a game and starts often. It's honestly amazing.

I swear Tony just doesn't actually want to win. It's just not his goal. He wants to prove everyone wrong instead.

Oscar Colas Story (Is this true?)
THe first two words are really only used in the Cuban spanish dialect. I translated those via a search, but the last half about "my soul hurts" I know is correct.

The translate I believe is it's horrible my friend, my soul hurts.

Oscar Colas Story (Is this true?)
Hopefully he's doing alright. I'd imagine he's away from most people he loves and has been for some time. That in addition to probably being here, for what he feels like is work only. That said, the slave thing is a bit much. Hopefully this is all a nothingburger and it's not about the Sox treatment and if it's personal that he's OK sooner than later.

"slave" lol what an absolute idiot. Although I'm not sure how reputable this source is or if this entire story was made up.

Luis' Swing
That's more of a balance thing. When he's not fooled, he goes through the zone with better balance and his bat is more in line with his hips and he's not flailing at the ball. When he's off balance, his bat gets out in front of his hips and his turn, so he lets go of the bat with his back hand. It's not that his swing is different as much as it's just that he's off balance and has to release with his trail hand.

6/28 GT: Sox @ LAAAAAA - WHY IS TLR STILL HERE?
So tim can't run fast to first because of injury but he can steal bases? La russa runs a laughable ship that promotes nada.

Moncada Reinstated, Sosa Optioned to AAA
Yeah, but I think the point is he should have never come up in the first place if that's tbe case.

Amazed people think that was a "tough" play. Sheets was running to the spot the entire time while looking back at the ball. He took a rounded route. He was still under the ball and it hit him right in the glove. A normal outfielder not only runs to the spot and is sitting under the ball, but it wouldn't even be considered a tough play. That was a 1* catch if he makes it.

SOX GT 6/24 - BEGINNING OF A 3 GAME WIN STREAK
The White Sox wasted an option on Sosa, and developmental time, so the manager could say This team has no sense or direction. It's been held hostage by a 77 year old drunk.

Fire Tony Chant
Was at the game.... and I'll say absolutely amazing to get 1 hit by a bullpen game from the orioles. Approach and focus on a daily basis is nonexistant. This team plays such dumb baseball. La russa has undoubtedly taken the hands off these are big leaguers approach. This team lacks basic fundamental consistency on offense and defense. Discipline starts at the top, it's the one thing a coach can instill and promote; effort and discipline.

O's v. Sox, 6/23/22 GT
Stone and benetti been watching Vaughn and sheets on outfield so long that some routineish plays they think are amazing. That catch in right was outrageous though

O's v. Sox, 6/23/22 GT
Just checked and ever since fathom agreed with that guy saying Vaughn bat was overrated and not guaranteed, he's hitting 900 with a 200000 slg.

Yolbert is your in a pinch off the bench call up then. Sosa needs to continue development by getting at bats. Absurd to prevent him from doing that by benching him for most games.

Lenyn Sosa joins the White Sox; 2 years later, Banana Ball to Chicago
Said this in the other thread but sox had no one else to add to 40 man so they didn't put him on 60 day. When eloy comes off they'll put mendick on 60 day.

Yeah, I don't get it at all. He should continue to develop and bring up yolbert if that's the case.

Downs is hitting 187 over his last 152 games. I don't get it at all with that kid, or why he's so hyped. Hilarious he got sent right back down after an 0-4 with 3k's.

O's v. Sox, 6/23/22 GT
lol pal, this isn't some desk job. The field is the field, dugout the dugout, and clubhouse the clubhouse. You think they're doing meet and greets and discussing things they like to do in their free-time before the game?
-
O's v. Sox, 6/23/22 GT
Because the Sox don't have anyone else they want to add to the 40 man. When Eloy comes back they'll move Mendick to the 60 day.

Trade deadline
I'll add Calhoun is a prime Giants-convert success story offensively. He's always had great underlying numbers, but something about his production didn't mesh with his skill-set. If any team can maximize those offensive tools, it's the Giants but still. Calhoun has no position.
