  1. He was spot on, Sox were just dumb. Brash threw 5 pitches in the zone 7 out of the zone. 7 of 9 off-speed pitches weren't even close to the zone.
  2. well, he hasn't thrown one close to the zone so this is true. they should be waiting for him to throw one for a strike before attacking them.
  3. be nice if the team made him get just one breaking pitch over for a strike before swinging at one.
  4. Just want to put it out there now, if he gets hurt I will 100% find a way to blame La Russa for that as well. There isn't a la russa blame game hurdle someone could place in front of me that I will not clear emphatically.
  5. I'm going to use starts and not "games played" as we saw with Pollock injury. Vaughn would have to start 87% of the games the rest of the way to get to that number. That seems incredibly unlikely but hope you're right.
  6. SB, I believe you like Vaughn ha. This isn't a vaughn fanhood pissing match, although if it were my stream would be long and strong, I was just saying that those who are bothered about La Russa treating him as a weak side platoon to start the year have a real gripe.
  7. The fact that you're fine with him being out of the starting lineup in 2 of the 4 games this year that happen to coincide with them facing righties? I am a huge Vaughn fan, I think he should play everyday but for a few days off here and there as is typical. Let's put it this way, it is a big enough deal that the manager had to go and explain his reasoning to the player 1 on 1. Is it the end of the world? obviously not.
  8. since you're such a big fan of small sample sizes dictating future playing time, Sheets has a 000 OPS this year, Vaughns is 1455.
  9. this man out here having heart to hearts in the 4th game of the season because he's making decisions that no one else agrees with. Gotta love a good old TLR story to stir up your opening day morning!
  10. fair enough! this is true. no reason to be raged over it; at this point, I just laugh at La Russa's overall thought process. Lineups don't mean all that much, unless of course you are sitting on of your better hitters 90 times in a season. gotta admit, it's also funny to see vaughn treated as some untouchable by Rick, but he can't even get into the home opener lineup vs a rookie pitcher lol.
  11. Vaughn was scheduled to sit on Saturday as well. Don't kid yourself, this isn't injury or rest related. Vaughn is being treated as a weak side of a platoon.
  12. Andrew Vaughn also is not a RF'er. If I had to pick one or the other though, I'd take the guy who was fine in LF last year. His arm sucks and he's slow, which isn't great, but he takes decent routes to balls and gets decent reads which is surprising. Sheets is slow... has a bad arm, and can't read a fly ball. Those are three pretty large issues as a MLB outfielder.
  13. what's the old saying... all it takes is one! Put a price of a million on one emoji, and Caufield might just bite! shooters shoot, get it done Kyyle.
  14. send me my invoice! you got me, i couldn't help myself!
  15. Caufield, how much are those emojis worth to soxtalk? Millions I'm guessing! According to my sources Everytime an emoji is placed, ss2k gets a $5 deposit into his white sox bmo account. Same source also told me soxtalk is considering monetizing emojis so they can really reap the benefits of the insiders voice. Wonder what the soxtalk laughing emoji is gonna trade for on the nft marketplace. Stay tuned!
