  1. Giolito is light on the stadium gun.
  2. Yeah the Sox should not have tried to beat that offer
  3. The situation changed when Moncada, Giolito and Anderson turned it around and Robert and Madrigal tore through the minors.
  4. That says more about the market than abreu or castellanos
  5. Oh darn they didn’t trade Jon Jay for a 25 yo A ball player.
  6. I think we’re about to see why Castellanos doesn’t make a ton of sense for the sox
  7. There are some incredibly disproportionate reactions going around
  8. Well one is a 22 year old that's been in the DSL for 2 years
  9. I forgot Nate Jones existed until right now.
  10. The depth pieces taking the slow route sucks, but the guys who need to fly through the system are, and with flying colors, so I think that mostly makes up for it.
  11. This is at least more standard and makes way more sense than whatever the plan was with the 7/175 thing.
  12. Kanny was just to bring him up to speed.
  13. Probably A+ unless he goes nuclear over the next month and the AFL. Not like he was shredding kanny, he was just kinda fine.
  14. It's not even low! 1.7 is very good for a reliever, that's the funny part. But yeah, but yeah the other numbers are definitely terrifying, so I'm not sure it matters all that much.
  15. The better break the bank regardless.
  16. I’d be surprised if there weren’t calls on Leury. The cubs could sure use him for instance. Hes a lot harder to trade than Colome if you have any allusions of being good in 2020 though.
  17. That’s fine. They don’t need to trade Colome for junk.
  18. Ngl it’d be pretty hilarious if Thor spins a no no and is immediately traded
  19. I’m totally fine with moncada not wanting to play on a tight hammy in 2019. We’ll talk next year if it continues to be a thing.
  20. Could also be the team being super safe
  21. mqr replied to Dickie Kerr's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Having Cordell and Engel on your 40 man roster is perfectly fine, even for a competitive team. Just as long as they're in the bottom ten.
  22. Fangraphs won't like Colome because he doesn't strike any one out. BBRef loves him. And teams presumably have their own much more sophisticated forms of WAR that none of us have access to. Not a one of them is pulling up fangraphs before they make a trade.
  23. Jay is the only buy below replacement level. Good lord he's bad on D.
  24. mqr replied to Dickie Kerr's topic in Pale Hose Talk
You kind of have to consider the status of Robert and Madrigal as they give 3 - 6 weeks to determine who the bottom to guys on the 40 are as the seats are just being kept warm. Are they going to carry two guys knowing they are DFAing them after a couple weeks, or do they use the opportunity for competition.
