Mid-Year Top 10 Prospects
I just don’t think Eaton’s best year is too much to ask. And I think your looking at an Abreu type output from Vaughn rather than cartoony power numbers.

Mid-Year Top 10 Prospects
Willians Astudillo would be your point of comparison, and he stinks. So it’s possible. Madrigal being able to run helps though. I also imagine Nick will be able to walk more than he strikesout unlike Astudillo

Mid-Year Top 10 Prospects
They're both pretty low ceiling guys. They could both be all-star type players, but neither is going to be like a top 15 player in baseball. Madrigal's ceiling will always be limited by his power and Vaughn's his position/athleticism.

I would file this under the ever growing pile of sure why not. I'm hoping that file becomes obsolete in the near future.

...why would the sox care about him learning from McCann if they are trading him? This is a bit of a non-sequiter

Will Nick "The Little Magician" Madrigal be called up this year?
It's just Eloy. I suppose EE-loy is a nickname in it's own way since he's said it's pronounced eh-LOY

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
I'd do that in a heartbeat, which tells me that Houston wouldn't. I know Tucker was terrible in a brief stint, but Jake Marisnick is not that good, and Reddick and Brantley are old. They have to have some sort of plan of Tucker replacing one of those guys sooner or later I would imagine.

Fine, I'll say it...
He had a couple hiccups early in the year, but his default setting seems to be 6 innings and 4 runs. That's not good, and I'm not going to try to tell you it it, but he's providing what they needed when injuries backed them into a corner, and that's a semi-consistent presence. He's been fine for what he was acquired to do. They gave up a nobody for him, that were we not all super in-tune with the minors because of the rebuild, none of us would have cared one second about. The 9 million is irrelevant.

Almost have to take that year-to-year, because relievers are so hard. I'd rather groom him to be comfortable to come into the game whenever, instead of jamming him into a one inning role though.

Eh, what does he do for you even if he bounces back? Even at his best he hit's just kinda okay for a 1B/DH and I'm not moving Moncada again for a reclamation piece.

It's probably going to be. The results are super nice, but there's some concerning trends going on there and contending teams are smart enough to look beyond the saves. Happy to be proven wrong, but his batted ball numbers are nuts for the results he's getting.

That hamate injury sucks. He was set up for a big year.
