There's just no way in hell this happens without options.

I would think the pre-arb would be a touch higher, but yeah this is what I envision and I would sign that deal right this second.

If there's not, there won't be a deal. I'd bet the house on that.

I really don't have any concerns about that with Eloy. He seems to have a special kind of makeup

Is this....is this a joke?

Today in ‘Reddit is Bad’: this seems to be a prevailing take. Heavens to Betsy

There’s absolutely no way this would be a flat deal. I refuse to believe it.

I half want this to happen because the system sucks and a guy getting his money is always rad. Half think it sounds absolutely dumb as shit.

Honestly, the White Sox not being front and center of a strike again is worth it alone if u ask me.

Honestly this would just make me more mad they didn’t shell out for Machado. But I’m rooting for the player to get his moola. Also so if this offer is on the table it would be already taken yeah?

It’d be weird as hell, but it doesn’t matter much as it’s very very unlikely that he would need that option if given a huge contract

I want off mr bones wild ride

The big club has still been pretty healthy. I wonder if it’s just increased attention on young guys that makes it seem worse

Always pull for South Side guys, but I have a hard time counting the son of the White Sox strength coordinator as a South Side guy.

It's hard to end up with local players if you don't have the chance to acquire local players...

It would be p nice to be the pirates

Those people were dumb. If your analysis is 'He looked good/bad in Spring' it needs to be thrown out.

Wait... are you trying to argue spring training results do or don't signify anything? What the hell is going on.

Point me to the Spring Training game that has ever done that.

And who would that be?

Yeah, it's certainly a bit of damning with faint praise

I don't think I've ever pulled for a guy as hard as Anderson. I want him to succeed so bad. He strikes me as a sort of everyman living a dream, not really sure why.

Ah, yeah I forgot about that. But given burning an option and already having spent a good chunk of time in bham, it's not a stretch.

I wouldn't be shocked if we see Basabe in September
