  2. Idk man, the country is still way too fractured in how this is being handled.
  3. Is it really?
  4. The Wire has become escapism in that I can watch it and be reminded of normal non-existential government cheesedickery.
  5. It's going right to rent. But I have been trying to send money that I would have spent at bars and on ubers and the like to businesses that have had to close their doors and employee relief funds where I can.
  6. This seems like a really bad idea without having any real idea how long immunity lasts.
  7. Someone in my family had to go to urgent care for a chest x-ray. What a world that I was relieved it was a cancer screening...(They're fine btw)
  8. It's getting increasingly difficult to get out of bed. I had spent the last few months getting myself in pretty good shape and training to run a marathon and now it's just....nothing. Bright side, good a year as any to have a shitty spring.

  14. I agree with everything except the move on faster point. We bungled containment, if it was possible at all. Now the goal is to make it last as long as possible. If we do nothing it'll be over quicker, but with orders of magnitude more bodies and all sorts of failed infrastructure. I can't fathom how anyone believes the economy can function with people just dropping dead all over the place though.
  15. Is the implication here that poor people should not be tested?
  16. Apropos of nothing, a 101 year old in Italy recovered from corona, after having survived the Spanish flu as an infant. Tough old bastard.

    sigh
  19. It is. But on the other hand, since we have no provisions for remote voting, and congressmen testing positive, every time the get together is asking for chaos to ensue.
  20. Politically? No probably not. Cuomo currently has a functioning brain though.
  21. Yeah. But you’re getting Biden
  22. well this is bleak.
  23. Hope your right. Ultimately, this is a huge issue for all small business, but small business that depends on large crowds and people who aren’t exactly financially solvent will have it extra hard.
  24. I'm thinking the Empty Bottles and Subterraneans will be in trouble.
  25. They're just the first thing that popped into my head.
