  1. Come to think of it, this discussion will end this weekend when Hanner Perea steps on the court. His athleticism puts Oladipo's to shame, it's non human-like.
  2. I think it's Williams, Thompson, and then Oladipo. However, I think Oladipo is definitely the best "player" of them all. He's the glue to IU.
  3. Still boils down to Roth playing four years and also got his MASTERS degree. Bringing up story and bawa is hilarious. We could barely field a team and story was damn good for Nevada. To top it off, Roth wasn't even a Crean recruit. He's so mad at IU, he's already been to half their games.
  4. Bawa can't even get minutes at some directional school in Tennesee, yea obviously he didn't transfer because of playing time... Patterson... You obviously knew nothing about him coming in. Crean went to bat for him in front of the dean of admissions board and he barely was admitted to even start taking "partial" summer school classes. He then got busted cheating in a level 100 course where he was BARELY getting a C. Try again.
  5. Hard to believe that article, when Roth comes out and says everything in that article was either fabricated or taken out of context.... http://indiana.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1401618 As for SoxBadgers post, citing urban dictionary? LOL
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 12, 2012 -> 05:54 PM) No it ends with IU fans getting butthurt and it getting too annoying for anyone to respond. IU signs more players than they have schollys at this point and so far have just worked with convincing older players to go off scholarship. Its the same game thats been played in football for a long time. Nothing illegal about it, but you guys keep being so defensive. Might as well just own it, you are the #1 team in the country until March, so who cares. So let me get this straight. They were flat out "cut", but no one speaks up. Make sense. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Dec 12, 2012 -> 05:57 PM) Due to having a couple of extremely likely transfers. Excuses flying already. Same deal with IU, along with NBA departures.
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 12, 2012 -> 05:27 PM) Might as well own it. Might as well show me who got cut. Been down this road, ends with a bunch of finger pointing with no proof, and no former player saying anything bad about Crean. Ever. Going to be awfully hilarious when UI continues to pursue Alexander and co from the 2014 class.
  8. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 12, 2012 -> 04:23 PM) Probably, just hope it's not an Indiana situation where we start cutting kids. smh..
  9. Most pundits I've seen are saying Duke. Bossi said last he heard MSU did not feel good about their chances.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 9, 2012 -> 07:29 PM) Big difference there. Painter already has proven he can recruit and coach those types, Weber never could Thing to remember with Panter though is that he recruited those guys when he didn't have to coach. He was the "coach in waiting" during Keady's last year. I think they are quickly finding out that the "mastermind" behind that class was Cuonzo Martin, who is recruiting very well at UT. Purdue hasn't seen a player, nor class like that since he left. With the way Indiana, Michigan, MSU, OSU, and ILL are recruiting, they won't see the top half of the B1G for a long time. His coaching is leaving a lot to be desired too. He's too stubborn to adapt his offense or defense to match his teams talent. Their forums are starting to turn on him after years of making fun of Crean, Izzo, and Matta. Pretty comical.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 9, 2012 -> 06:22 PM) Their last two games vs. lower level opponents were too close for comfort, so I hope they take it one game at a time. Then you got another big game vs. Mizzou. I'm still tempering my expectations because of the lack of any inside game and the strength of the Big Ten, but holy s*** this is fun! I wonder if Purdue is starting to worry about their coach from the Keady coaching tree.... That offense and defense expired 20 years ago.
  12. Huge win for the Illini! The B1G is going to be insane this year.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 29, 2012 -> 03:10 PM) A guy I know was holding back tears the other day. His GF of 2 years or so who is 23 told him it was over. She had met a guy at the school she works at. The new lover/boyfriend is 35 with 3 kids, one as old as 9. The guy I know is 25 or 26, no kids, nothing like that. What is your take? If shes really that stupid, let her walk. She'll be sorry in a few years when he's on social security and wrinkly.
  14. QUOTE (Boogua @ Nov 29, 2012 -> 02:46 PM) How do you think he does in the NBA? I don't think he ever becomes a "star", but I think he'll have a very long career racking up good numbers. He's a good athlete with unique speed for his size, with a great, great skill set. If his jumpshot continues to improve, I think he'll average 20ppg a few years. He has a good jumper already, we just never get to see it because it's not needed and no one in college can guard him off the dribble anymore.
  15. I think the big thing most are forgetting about Zeller is his passing. His basketball IQ is unmatched on the floor. He just does the right thing, every time. He dominated one of the best defensive big men seen in college in a long time in Anthony Davis. Scored whenever he seemingly got the ball down low. His skill level is incredible. Also, he doesn't get nearly as many shots as many of those other guys. He gets mostly less than 10 shots a game because there's so much talent on Indiana. He averages like 26 minutes a game. If he gets 15-20 shots and 35 minutes a game (on a team with less talent), no doubt in my mind he's 25 and 10 every single night.
  16. Watford hasn't scored, but Indiana up 20. Down 2 of their top 8 rotational players.... Going to be an awesome year.
  17. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 27, 2012 -> 10:18 PM) Indiana cherry picking their way to victory tonight. Going to be a lot of that in a "slow paced" bigten... IU not even hitting jumpshots and killing it. Scary.
  18. UM looks very good. Just saw there's a rep from every NBA team at the IU/UNC game tonight. Impressive
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 25, 2012 -> 09:07 PM) Pretty sure draft express had a stat that said he was the best pure shooter in the country last year (or the year before) based on some shooting graphs they had. Also, Hulls was 74th in the final RSCI. Yes, it was shooting efficiency or something like that. I remember near the end of last year he was leading the country in eFG (I can't remember the exact term), but he was the only guard in the top 20-30 players. Should be a good test Tuesday against North Carolina.
  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 25, 2012 -> 07:56 PM) He's shooting .541 coming into today which is good for just outside the top 100 in the country. Yes, but he's also a guard and every shot is a jumper. Pretty incredible shooter.
  21. Indiana's offense is just stupid. Has Jordan Hulls ever missed?
  22. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Nov 22, 2012 -> 12:04 AM) From what I can recall, not one Indiana fan has come on this board talking smack and being arrogant at all, unless responding to crap posted by you and others. If Indiana is so bad, why do you spend so much time worrying about them and their coach? Yes, I know its a message board. But I think the telling sign here is you and others seem to be fascinated by how well or bad Indiana is and must point out the bad any time anyone shows pride, be it a fan or coach. On the other hand, most IU fans respect Bo Ryan and Wisconsin, but could give a sh*t less about what goes on there. We know that when IU is right, we'll stand taller than Wisky most years. And before you go off half-cocked at that comment. Think about it, it's true. Wisky has a very good program and Dick Bennett and Bo Ryan are to be commended for keeping it strong. But there is no way Wisconsin could have withstood all the crap IU went through with Sampson. It would have been a decade or more before Wisconsin would have sniffed the top half of the Big Ten. Lastly, I don't understand where you think most IU fan's expectations lie. I would ask other IU fans on here to agree or disagree with me, but I see Indiana as a top basketball program that should be knocking on the door of the Final Four most years. What I mean is the standard for IU should be the Sweet Sixteen. If we don't get there, its a disappointing season. Get there regularly, then the chances for Final Fours and Championships will take care of themselves. IU fans know the big Ten is a damned good conference and even conference championships are not assumed. But we feel we should be "in the mix" regularly. I just don't see how these expectations are so offensive to other schools. IU is a legit top 5 or 10 "program". Has it been lately? No. But few schools nationally have the combination of tradition and dedicated fan base IU has. Certain programs have earned that status whether it be over the last 20-30-40-50+ years. IU is one and can withstand a down period more easily than others. He_Gawn? Farmteam? Am I wrong here? 100% spot on. Couldn't have said it better, Rex. I still can't stop laughing how Crean has "disrespected" the BigTen. So funny. As for Illinois, great win for them and the B1G. Very impressive fellas.
  23. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 02:17 PM) 19-53 in the Big 10. I guess that is special. And Indiana could become one of the top teams in the Big 10, there is no doubt in my mind. Its just Crean should show some respect to the schools who actually have represented Big 10 basketball over the last 10 years, the schools that kept the Big 10 brand strong while Indiana basketball was making a mockery of the conference. You hold on to that hope that that record will remain somewhat the same. You're going to be in for a shock. And please, how is Crean and Indiana disrespecting the Bigten and it's coaches????? Looks to me like he put the Bigten in the spotlight the past two years. He's not badmouthing anyone. I recall earlier this year him praising Wisconsin and Ryan every chance he got saying their the team in the conference to look out for. It's the same s***, different day with you and all things Indiana. It's pathetic, really. You're so damn butthurt, it's sad. We get it. You don't like Crean. You didn't think Indiana would come storming back. He's "creaning" kids left and right, but yet you can't find one article or instance to support your BS from a former player speaking out against him. Newsflash, he's in the bottom 1/3 of the B1G in transfer rates since he got to the bigten.
