  1. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jun 9, 2013 -> 05:18 PM) Indiana really shouldn't be good at baseball. Bad conference, mediocre region, mediocre finances for baseball. Bizarre that they made it. No surprise that it's the first time they've made it and the first time in 29 years that a Big Ten team has made it. A lot of programs should be looking in the mirror realizing they had more to work with than IU and didn't get close. Maybe so, but it's time for the national media to admit.. IU is damn, damn good. They have an SEC type lineup, with some pretty solid pitching. Scary that most everyone is back next year. Indiana is setting itself up to become a midwest power with Coach Smith.
  2. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 12:09 PM) My alma mater, Indiana University, reached their first super regional in the team's history this year. The Hoosiers will be in Tallahassee, and I think they have a very good chance to make it to Omaha. Aaron Slegers, a 7-foot tall pitcher and B1G pitcher of the year (who will probably be drafted on Friday as well) will most likely start off the super regional. Won't be surprised if he stays next year. Indiana should be very, very good next year again.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 23, 2013 -> 12:20 PM) Can you link me to his incidents? I havent seen a peep of any of that anywhere. He's not of age for them to be published in papers or anything, he's just been suspended from school and his team going on 4 occasions now in 3 years. The latest was this year prior to the end of his HS season where he punched a JV player out cold. He has a crap home life (lives with grandma) and has a "posse" with motives are probably aren't going to benefit him in the long run. Reminds me of Lance Stephenson's issues in HS.
  4. QUOTE (Boogua @ May 23, 2013 -> 10:47 AM) Seriously... Illinois is on his final list too, although I doubt he becomes an Illini. If he doesn't at least I can say "let him be a cancer on some other team". Funny. Oh, IU is still in the thick of it with him... I, along with numerous other Indiana fans just flat out don't want him. It's incident after incident with the kid. Heck of a talent, but not sure it's going to be worth it. No chance he's going to Illinois. As for Exum, he's definitely going to college according to he and his dad. Probably be a top 3 talent if he was in the US all year long.
  5. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 22, 2013 -> 03:02 PM) Is IU going to focus on Lyle as a priority now? Nah, that's a team blowup waiting to happen. It's been known for a while that's he's pretty much locked into going to Louisville or Ohio State. They can deal with him. Indiana leads for Exum (who's the big one) and Okonoboh. I think they'll take those two and then grab another high level guard. We're after so many, it's hard to tell.
  6. Rabjohns reporting sources telling him it's IU. Averaged around 10 points and 3 assists last year.
  7. Looks like Evan Gordon (Erics brother) will be transferring from ASU to play his final season closer to home. It looks like it will be Indiana, as they have an open scholarship. Good move for this year, and even better for the future. Eron Gordon is a 2016 recruit that will likely be a top 3 recruit in the nation. Playing up with the 17 year olds this year, he's just dominating putting up close to 25PPG in AAU. A lot like his brother Eric.
  8. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 26, 2013 -> 10:41 AM) LOL. Guys transferring when a new coach comes in, that's never happened in the history of college basketball. No kidding. I brought it up because of the crap Crean got for doing the same thing, except the guys he kicked were hooked on strippers and coke. And not going to class.
  9. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 26, 2013 -> 08:29 AM) Haha, you are so sensitive to IU's scholarship situation. I don't think Crean maybe going a year without having to can someone is something to be lauded, especially after still oversigning. Lol, shame on Crean for having a clue about his scholarship situation. Then he loses two of his most experienced guards to transfer. Leaving only a few left on the team. Especially while Groce gets rid of Webers deadweight so he can continue to recruit, right?
  10. From what I'm hearing, there could be another transfer coming, leaving Indiana 2 under. That also leaves the "creaning" haters looking like complete morons. Indiana will be up and down next year, but should still make the tournament. They have a ton of talent and athleticism, although young. If no one leaves next year (vonleh), they will add in Blackmon and like Dante Exum and Theo Pinson. That will be one stacked team. If that comes together, that team will likely be better than this years Indiana team. Exum is a freak at the point.
  11. Harris' AAU coach told Peegs.com that he's staying for sure. We will see. His dad kind of hinted at that too. He'll be B1G POY if so.
  12. That's the 3rd from Purdue. Painter kicking guys to the curb left and right and their fans still obsessed with Crean.
  13. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 10:57 PM) Heard Creaning got some national airplay on espn radio today. It did, then after a break they apologized because they didn't know Roth left after 4 years and two degrees. Golic said he has no problem with that as the same thing happened with his son at Notre Dame.
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 10, 2013 -> 10:00 AM) Hey I was just looking for the details on the numbers. Your brother in Cream and Crimson refused to do so. I knew I could count on you Rex. Whats the point? We're not part of the Indiana program. From what I'm hearing, there's a better chance that Indiana is under the scholarship limit than over/right at it. Which is likely why they are now going after Sina.
  15. As most are, but one guy doesn't make a class. Most scouts are down on 2014 from what I've seen.
  16. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 5, 2013 -> 01:28 PM) Got it. It could be better, obviously we've said that a few years and they havent been all that impressive in college action overall IMO. I am actually more enthused with the next class. No way. Two of the best prospects left the 2014 class in Wiggins and Vonleh.
  17. 99 has it right. Wiggins and Parker are two extremely talented players at the top. Throw in Randle, Gordon, Harrison's, and Vonleh... Dear god. As for Rocks earlier post, I'm glad you have it all figured out. Thanks for letting me know.
  18. Also, the last player I'm worried about contributing in the bigten is Vonleh. This is the best class since 07 or earlier and he's one of the better ones. It sad the conference only had one MCDAA.
  19. As stated earlier, I'm not on the Indiana staff so I do not know how the situation. Crean has been asked numerous times, replying that he's not stupid and there's a plan A,B, and C for this.
  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 5, 2013 -> 10:51 AM) Since Zeller needs to leave you have three kids with almost zero experience listed there. Usually not the recipe for "nasty." As stated earlier. Zeller alone is a good frontcourt. Add in Vonleh, more frontcourt talent than anyone in the bigten. He's the perfect "athletic" compliment to a skilled finesse big playing alongside him. Perea was really hurt by not being able to play against the "cupcakes" earlier in the year this year. He will continue to get better. Fischer will be a good 5-10 minute guy. A lesser, more athletic Zeller. Of course we're talking about the bigten. Not exactly a hotbed of frontcourt talent.
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 5, 2013 -> 10:03 AM) Did your sentence trail off where you were going to add you would have to pull his scholly because of lack of room? It trailed off because Zeller staying would be very, very good for Fischer. A frontline of Zeller, Vonleh, Fischer, and Perea would be pretty nasty in the B1G.
  22. QUOTE (farmteam @ Apr 4, 2013 -> 12:25 PM) I've read some people who think Fischer will come in and start right away. I haven't seen too much video of Fischer, but I was under the impression he would probably be at about 10 minutes a game as a freshman. A little more playing time than Hollowell got this year. He's really started to blow up in the last year. ESPN moved him way, way up in their rankings and Rivals will soon follow according to their guys. He picked up Volleyball two years ago and his athleticism and explosion have really improved. It also helps that since his commitment a year and a half ago, he's grown 2-3 inches to put him at a legit 6'10"-11". He's not as fast, nor skilled as Zeller, but he's much longer. Would not surprise me in the least if he started. Now if Zeller stays...
  23. IU recruit Luke Fischer, Mr. Basketball in Wisconsin. Heard great things about Loving. Irvin really turned it on late his junior year and never slowed down.
  24. Had this one picked. Hopefully I do a little better today than yesterday...
  25. OSU on fire. Playing great at the right time, especially on D. Congrats Rock! I think Indiana's team next year could look a lot like this years OSU team.
