QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 1, 2013 -> 03:13 PM) Illinois in the sweet sixteen. MARK IT DOWN. Depending on who they draw and who's in their bracket, I think they could get farther if they get hot.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 20, 2013 -> 08:50 AM) During the game they were talking about him being in contact with Dwayne Wade. Vic just doesn't take a day off. He's a workout freak, along with Sheehey and Hulls. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sheehey make a similiar type of jump next year with Vic gone. Heck, as soon as the team got back to Bloomington last night after midnight, Hulls went straight to Cook Hall to shoot.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 01:19 AM) Got involved in a fight at a bar/club, broke up with my girlfriend (totally my fault) got in a car accident and have to pay a s***load of damage even with insurance.. yea.. worst weekend of my life. Yikes man. Nowhere to go but up. Here's to winning the lottery?

QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Feb 10, 2013 -> 05:49 PM) Not sure because I don't see him as an IU lean or anything. Though he has been around IU more lately than I thought. Sometimes kids just want to mess with those that follow recruiting. If I were OSU, I'd have found something else for him to wear. Do coaches have enough balls to tell a recruit that the gear of "opposing team" goes off or you go home and don't get to attend the game? Rock, chime in on this. I don't think he's coming to IU, period. Seems like he's going to UL. I think IU has made it known they're all in on Exum and Pinson. Sit at the top for both.
-
So JaQuan Lyle visited OSU today for the IU game, obviously as a guest of OSU. He wore Indiana gear... WTF is he thinking?
-
There's no such thing as a good loss, but Indiana losing to illinois may have finally woken their asses up. Feed the ball to Zeller and let him work. He's the best passing big man in basketball and it showed today. Very tough to beat when Indiana plays like this.
-
QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Feb 10, 2013 -> 02:29 PM) Random note: Thomas gets away with hooks an awful lot. That's not a comment on the foul on Zeller, but on a few plays earlier in the game. That said, he's a good player and knows how to make moves. No doubt. Especially if they're going to call that non-existent one earlier on Yogi.

QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Feb 10, 2013 -> 02:01 PM) Abell has struggled big time since conference play started. On a separate note, did anyone see the Michigan St. - Purdue game last night? Is it true that Purdue fans were chanting "IU sucks" while down to MSU by 15? They chant that no matter what. I sat next to the Paint Crew 1.5 weeks ago when Indiana was in town. They chanted IU Sucks with 8 minutes to go in the game, DOWN 37 points!! morons
-
I honestly believe if Indiana isolated with Oladipo everytime, they could score nearly everytime.
-
remy abell single-handily letting OSU catch up and take the lead.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Feb 7, 2013 -> 11:16 PM) Hah, not sure why I get a special shout out, but good game! Game was going pretty much as expected til that collapse at the end. Illinois couldn't miss and Indiana couldn't play for s***. Depressing that Oladipo didn't play well, especially with all the national love he's been getting lately. I was expecting to win this game and lose at Ohio State on Sunday, so if we can bounce back and win that game (definitely possible, if not necessarily probable) we'll at least get the 1-1 I thought we would this week, and a good road win to boot. That's me being optimistic right now. There's still an awful, orange flavored taste in my mouth right now. Agree totally. I expected to go 1-1 this week, so it can somewhat be salvaged Sunday.

Man did that suck. Basically could see that coming with Indiana "going through the motions" all freakin' game. What a turnaround for Illinois. Zeller has to demand the ball and take it up almost every possession. Just no elite team this year. Incredible.
-
Don't feel very confident about the game tonight, but more confident than the Wisconsin game. I think Illinois comes out on fire.
-
Exactly, neither one of us is budging. It seems it'll be Withey, Oladipo, or Noel for NDPOY. I would imagine Oladipo will get BTDPOY with ease. We shall see.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 04:48 PM) Craft has been the best on ball defender in college bball since he was a freshman. He guards the pg of the opposing team completely dictating the pace of play. You are correct he doesn't guard 4 positions, doesn't change the fact he's the best at what he does. Opposing coaches and experts echo that statement. Oladipo is a great defender playing in space and passing lanes but one on one he is not superior. Craft should be a lock for DPOY. He's already the all time leader in steals at OSU one third through his junior year. I think that would be a big miscall. Brad Stevens and Izzo would agree. Stevens came out and said he's never seen a better defender in his life. Beilein singing ridiculous praise Saturday night as well. Burke said today "I had much more fun playing against Craft than Oladipo".
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 04:31 PM) Aaron Craft is shocked that you've missed the last 2 seasons of college ball. Craft is great, but Oladipo can guard 1-4 and not miss a beat. He'll be on Thomas for sure. Craft is definitely up there, but if Oladipo isn't the DPOY, the award is pointless. He can completely take over the game on both sides of the ball.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 03:10 PM) If that's the case, then they needed to have him on Burke more often. The shots that dude was hitting were unbelievable. He hit some shots, but he missed a ton. I believe he was 9-24. Ferrell was the difference in that game. He's really, really coming into his own. When he was on the court, IU had to be +15 or 20.
-
QUOTE (farmteam @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 02:07 PM) Is Abrams going to be the best player on Illinois next year? Read the other night that Oladipo played 45 defensive possessions against Michigan. All told, the players he was guarding had...4 points. That's two baskets. Out of 45. What in the hell. He's unbelievable. Best defender I've seen at the college level in a long time (obviously leaving out big men that block shots). It seems like he's everywhere.

The Hall is going to be insane tonight. May top the loudest it's ever been, which saying a lot. Lots of recruits in. Many analysts picking UM. Should be a good one.
-
Being in Mackey Arena last night as IU chants rang out the whole time was priceless... Purdue showed their genius by doing the IU Sucks chant down by 30 in the 2nd half.
-
UM could definitely beat Indiana this weekend. Heck, Indiana could lose at Purdue Wednesday. I see Purdue playing out of their minds. Keep the ball in Oladipos hands and he should dominate against them. Any word on Jordan Morgan?
-
Does anyone understand what Illinois is trying to accomplish on offense? I just don't understand. If you want to settle for a jumpshot every. single. time, why not run a VCU type defense with the length you have.
-
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 02:23 PM) But them being #1 might cause idiots to rush the floor with a W. Nahhh, that won't happen. I think UM will fall prior to the game anyways.
-
QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 01:14 PM) That's what I'm saying, I don't know what "comment after comment" you're really talking about here. It hasn't been mentioned that much. In general, he's pretty clear in not liking Wisconsin, you're pretty clear in not liking Crean. Not a big deal. No reason to dilute the NCAA thread with Indiana-Wisconsin squabbles, let's go back to laughing at Duke for losing by 27 the other night. Or talking about whether Illinois will shock the world and beat Michigan. I actually want Michigan to win, because then they'll be #1 for College Gameday in Bloomington next Saturday. Otherwise I'd want Illinois to win. Pretty much spot on. I refrain from talking about the Badgers. They own Indiana right now.
-
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 11:20 AM) lol Why would I be crying? I find your little schtick amusing and since you like to think you know a lot, its fun to dominate. likewise
