QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 20, 2005 -> 02:00 PM) Iguchi flys to RF. Kevin Walker warms for the Sox. Tell me he is just getting some work in... -
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 20, 2005 -> 08:50 AM) Let's just hope this doesn't push Zambrano into pitching a hell of a game against us. Well the sox are doing everything right in order to get him off of his game... The times hes beaten he usually beats himself. Because I dont think anyone can deny he has electric stuff

QUOTE(YASNY @ May 20, 2005 -> 08:49 AM) Professionalism? Calling out broadcasters. They don't know the meaning of the word on the north side. Yea I kinda misstated...Its been obvious for a while that Dusty has no control of that looneybin over on the north side. "C'mon dude, I just coach baseball"...give me a break

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 20, 2005 -> 08:42 AM) Rowand=my new favorite Sox player. It's about time someone had the balls to say that about him! Two good years and the guy thinks he's frickin' Nolan Ryan. :finger Zambrano! IIRC, Bonds called him out two years ago, ...the one thing Bonds has ever done that I agree with, Austin Kearns has made comments about him...Im pretty sure u can put together a pretty long list of players who find his antics to be childish and bush league. Zambrano has to be hated around the league for the way he acts like a total moron on the mound. Class and professionalism isnt something that Dusty must preach to his players

Daily Southtown-Sox Players: Zambrano's antics cross line A beautiful thing. Talk about knowing what buttons to push before going into this series!! I'm giving 2:1 odds that Zambrano plunks Rowand for those comments....

QUOTE(Steff @ May 19, 2005 -> 04:35 PM) What I want to know is why does it take FIVE years to resurface a 10 mile stretch of road...??? And why do they not work at night..? Well now it will take that long just so they can collect $375 dollars from every driver that passes through... :banghead I feel like each and everyday things get stranger on the roadways: The cell phone law - While good in theory, I already see drivers swerving across lanes to park on the side of the road when their phone rings...Its ridiculous for the drivers (like me) with no record and who only seldom uses the cell phone while driving. This new draconian construction law The gates blocking traffic if there is a terror alert being installed on the on-ramps...There is some crazy stuff goin on all of a sudden.

QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 19, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) All you guys complaining about work, if you were a real fan you would get fired from your job to go to the game like I did last weekend. I wouldn't want to go to Wrigley, but hopefully the Sox will do this? Dude, your 16 years old... I can't exactly get fired from my job and find another one in a matter of hours that offers the same compensation...The real world is a scary place

QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 19, 2005 -> 03:08 PM) Wait a second. I could be wrong. Weather.com records the wind as "From NE 14 mph." Does that mean that the wind is coming FROM the northeast at 14 mph? If so, that would mean that the wind is blowing IN at the Urinal. Yes geniuses If its coming "in" off the lake...I.E (WHEN ITS COOL OUTSIDE)...the wind would be blowing in. So a Northeast wind would blow in from Right Center field, ideal conditions for Freddy G. -
So we have to go 45 MPH in areas they decide are construction zones...where they put up two horses and a flashing light and do actual work about 1 hour a week...GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!! Well i'm officially screwed...I better set aside $375 right now. :banghead

QUOTE(YASNY @ May 19, 2005 -> 11:37 AM) 385 miles ... south on I-57 to I-24 east. Beautiful Kentucky Lake. About 10 minutes from my front door. I've heard from a few people Lake Cumberland in Kentucky is a pretty nice place to visit, especially if you like to water ski...have you ever been there?

What an informative post................................... :headshake Why is it any of our business as to if he has 'irregular' hands?
-
QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 19, 2005 -> 08:42 AM) I dont think Beane wants Anderson, as it was stated before, his strikeout numbers are a little high for Beane's taste. I would think he is after Sweeney, or a pitching prospect. BTW, i would give up BMAC. You would give up BMAC and Crede for Chavez? I've been a huge fan of his but I'm not sure I would do that trade...Chavez while an extremely 'sexy' player...Flashy defensive plays, smooth lefty swing...I'm not sure hes worth 10+ million a season when our payroll will only be in the 80-85 million dollar range

QUOTE(Steff @ May 19, 2005 -> 08:41 AM) Next weekend. So the Tan-Tar-A is high on the list right now.. but that's gonna require a plane ride. I am not spending 10 hours in the car.. :sleep Jim and I golfed at the Kohler place a couple years ago. Very nice.. Hmm...I totally wanna check it out myself The Tan-Tar-A looks pretty cool...It does look a little too familyey for my taste.

QUOTE(Steff @ May 19, 2005 -> 08:33 AM) Gimme some slack.. I'm under the gun here. We were supposed to be leaving for Tampa Wednesday but that got sqashed because of work. We don't want to go north at all.. if the weather is rainy or cold here.. it'll be worse north I would think... no? I added a link to the Kohler Resort I'm just kidding... When are you planning on goin? B/C i've heard great things about Kohler but if your gonna go next week its only gonna be about 70 degrees. A drive to the Ozarks...your looking at about 8 hours. Plus you can stop in Branson, Missouri :puke

QUOTE(Steff @ May 19, 2005 -> 08:12 AM) Unless you count my husband.. I have none yet. I'm looking at golf in southern Illinois. Anyone been to Galena..? I've never been... But if u wanna go on a golf resort kinda trip I would recommend Kohler, WI or theres a few places in Michigan that are supposed to be REALLY nice... Kohler, WI But c'mon...the Dells Steff?? I'm ashamed

QUOTE(Southside hitmen @ May 19, 2005 -> 07:58 AM) Why would Oakland trade Chavez if he just signed a 6 yr deal UHHH...because hes been TERRIBLE this year??? :banghead And they need to re-work the team and spend money elsewhere? Oakland isnt exactly a big market team.
-
QUOTE(Iguana @ May 19, 2005 -> 07:40 AM) interesting. depends on the minor leaguer. as long as it's not Honel, Mac, Anderson, Sweeney....i'm probably forgetting a few other studs. If the minor leaguer was Honel I wouldnt even think twice about this trade... But in all reality I don't really see this happening. Isn't Joe a FA after the season as well? So basically the A's would be trading Chavez for the one minor league prospect...well I guess that could happen???? But dont forget folks: Chavez this year .205/.272/.321 with 4 HR's and 17 RBI's He hasn't exactly been tearing the cover off the ball. Will he end up hitting? Most likely...but this isnt near as good as it sounds

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 18, 2005 -> 08:07 AM) In my mind, I have a very clear sense of right and wrong and if something is wrong, I don't do it, no consideration. That's just me. Wow...pass me over some of that will-power you've got... I try to do the right thing more times than not, but its a bold comment to say you never go against your conscience or better judgment.
