Just looking at some stats... Maroth, Bonderman and Cornejo are 1-2-3 in Losses in the AL and there 20 - 57 combined... Wanna know who 7 of those wins came against..... Yeah you guesed.. The Whitesox SOrry guys, the sox problems are WAY deeper than the losses to the Tigers. However, their inability to beat the Tigers just shows what kind of team they are!!! A team that has so many problems, inadequecies, insecurities, inconsistencies, that they are where they are right now... Jose Valentin's Heart and will to win does NOT make up for all his inadequacies; (His Glove, His approach from the left side, Inability to hit from the right side, etc.) They sheek keep Aaron Rowand and see what he can do if he plays everyday, because in limited time he has looked great. I would rather try to resign Jurassic then see the sox keep all those slow right handers Pitching is a whole other issue that I dont even feel like talking about right now...lol

I think the White Sox are between a Rock and a hard place (sorry for the metaphor) with Frank Thomas on the team. Because he is who he is they are forced to hit him in the three hole. Sure you can argue that is the proper place to hit him but you can also argue against it. Also because of his past times with the Sox we also know he isnt a great leader but EVERYONE looks to him for leadership that he just doesnt bring to the table. A Frankless sox team is an interesting idea and by no means devalues Frank's 13 year career here...it just might be the thing that needs to be done to jump start a lackluster team! I think I'm just frustrated with seeing homerball b/c at this point for the right price I've already had Frank Leaving, Magglio traded, Konerko traded...lol

I'm not arguing that JM should stay. The only logical thing they can do is relieve him of his duties. You can't fire the whole team, so the manager is the scapegoat. I've never bought into the whole concept of the manager being the difference maker. They say a good manager can get you what, 6-7 more wins a year. 7 out of 162 are won by the manager. It's done between the line. Just my opinion, of course. The manager can't be a difference maker? ....... Jack McKeon. I rest my case. Exactly right, Chicago and Florida r 2 very similar teams, and 1 could be going to the playoffs with the NL Wild Card and the other will prob have their team broken up during the offseason. It's all JM's fault, we should have never been below .500 bf the all star break in the 1st place, KW actually gave us a chance to win this but in the clutch the players didn't deliver. Simple as that. I hate to be argumentative (who am i kidding, I love to be argumentative), but if you are going to give credit to KW for acquiring the players to give the Sox a chance, then you have to place equal blame on KW for not replacing Manuel. Both are the GM's job. I agree Rex...I've been on here praising KW for his moves that put us back in the race, but it is also KW job to get rid of a manager that should have been gone well before the all-star break the way this team came out and played early on. Also KW can be commended for making all those moves, but if we dont resign Sullivan, Alomar, or Everett all he did was trade away minor league talent for what? A second or third place finish when its all said and done? It can go both ways!!!!

Why dont you turn the tables and pretend that the White Sox won the last five games from the twins and tell me that you wouldnt be writing the EXACT same things about their team? Personally I think Barry Larkin wouldnt bring much to help the sox unless we were to go with an extremely YOUTHFUL team. Then we would need to sprinkle in a veteran here and there to nurture and care for them (lol). And if we resign Robbie there really isnt a need for a Barry Larkin on this team...just my opinion

I like the idea of seperating a "other sports" board for other chicago area sports teams and keepin a random board for all the other "pressing" issues!!! Because I'm new here but I'm sure once the bulls and lackhawks start playing their games plenty of posting will be goin on about them!!! But what do I know??? Not much Exactly......
