As always you take this kind of reporting with a dash of salt, but it sounds to me like they are unofficially out if you read the stuff coming out the last few days. This is great. His point was though that Sanchez isn't going to be replacing anyone in the IF late game and he just can't hit. I would prefer to get a versatile guy that could plug in at IF and corner OF spots as well.

Yep, this is potentially costing him millions and millions of dollars if he thinks he can repeat the numbers. I would rather have more lineup versatility than 3 catchers.

I'd be happy with McHugh. He'd be solid in the pen and would just provide more depth to SP if needed. I'd be fine with a 2 year deal for sure.
