Yes he does. His changeup is much improved as it's almost unhittable now he just doesn't have to throw it often in 1 inning stints. His command is also much improved.
The Murphy and Salvy rumors show that at least they're kicking the tires on doing something about the catching position. I don't think they make either move but at least it's a sign they're aware they have a serious problem there and might actually do something to address it.
Man that's crazy. I thought most of these guys were going to resign with their teams but that doesn't look like it will be the case. There's going to be a lot more movement than I thought.
I don'tknow but you would think if the Royals were truly interested in trading Salvy they could do so without having to take back one of the worst contracts in baseball.
Whatcha got? I think the Twins have something big up their sleeve (Contreras?) but I'm not sure about the Guards. Maybe a semi-impact trade (Plesac, Civale) or a signing like JD Martinez who makes a bunch of sense for them.
Drew Millas. Switch hitter who should hit enough and a very good defensive catcher. I understand that's an unfamiliar profile for the Sox as they prefer their catchers to not be able to hit or catch. Millas would instantly be the best catcher in the system (low bar).
