  1. I mean it's the same training facility as the Dodgers so they have that going for them. Which is nice.
  2. I was told Max is in no hurry to make a decision so yeah expect him to sign any day now.
  3. I think they'll make a couple moves before Dec 1 but I'm not sure it's going to be for a big money guy. This is me connecting some dots on things I've heard but it seems (seems) like teams want to sign players before Dec 1 but the players want to wait it out and see what the new CBA looks like. I would be a little surprised if they signed a big money guy before Dec 1 but I probably shouldn't be beacuse this is such a crazy off season. I guess that's a long winded way to say who F'ing knows.
  4. If Schwarber is the DH the RF won't have to be a left handed hitter and Gurriel came up as a SS. He would be a fine everyday RF.
  5. Bryan Reynolds. Maybe the Blue Jays will part with Gurriel or Hernandez.
  6. OR Schwarber at DH, trade Vaughn for a young RF and go after Max.
  7. They would have to include a really good second player. Dombrowski was at the game too. My guess is he's either eyeing him up to play 2B/SS this year or if he's under direction to win now at all costs move him for a big time dude like Buxton.
  8. I just saw Stott in the AFL. That dude has a chance to be goooooooooood.
  9. I still think the Dodgers will resign Taylor. I just have a hard time believing them losing Seager and Taylor in the same off season. Movement from the Sox? Yes I think they'll make at least one move if not a couple.
  10. Taylor's not a plug in guy. He's an everyday player capable of playing multiple positions at an above avg level. He's exactly what this team needs but unfortunately I think they're going to go in a different direction.
  11. Sure why not, They already play 1B/DH in LF, RF and C. Why not at 2B too.
  12. Ha. His name is Jack Suwinski. He's a Chicago kid. Jack Hammer is his nickname.
  13. The Pirates added the Jack Hammer to the 40 man. Good for him.
  14. He's a nice player but he's no where near untradable. If they can include him in a package for a high impact player they would be insane not to do it.
  15. They had to have the name Guardians so they could have the subliminal Indians in the logo. Some things never die.
  16. Burnes won in the NL. Remember when people didn't want the Sox to trade for him because he wasn't established or whatever the reasoning was. A player isn't last years WAR number or slash line. They get better.
  17. I think it's higher than that but even if it was 5-10% that's enough to not risk paying a shit ton of money to a guy they don't trust going forward for what would essentially be a middle of the 3rd round pick. It's not worth it.
  18. Not really. They have a plan and didn't want to risk blowing it up by offering $18M to an injury waiting to happen so they could draft the 75th best player in this years draft. That would have been really really stupid.
