  1. "pitch framing is only as good as the pitcher who allows you to frame it." Preach on Brother Smoltz.
  2. Interesting. Mike Mussina was a popular comp when he was drafted.
  3. Baseball is the only industry on the planet where experience and wisdom are considered bad. And people wonder why the game is such a fucking mess. Weird times.
  4. but does he hit a lot of infield popups?
  5. Post an eyewash video or it never happened.
  6. In my dream scenario they all play together like a bunch of happy Bob Ross trees.
  7. Dude's an athlete. If LeMahieu can do it Bryant can too. If the Astros lose Correa I think they should sign Bryant for 3B and move Bregman back to SS.
  8. Dream acquisitions? Max, Lux, Bryant and Schwarber at DH.
  9. I think there will be some NL teams that are good matches for Keuchel. The Giants and Cardinals are at the top of the list for me.
  10. I think for the first time in our lifetime the Sox are going to act like a big market team this off season.
  11. We've seen about enough of this. Take a seat, Kid. We'll see you next year.
  12. Max Scherzer will make his next start for the Chicago White Sox.
  13. I think the Sox are going to be aggressive early and they're gonna spend.
  14. While teams like the Dodgers are putting converted shortstops all over the field the Sox will put converted first baseman. That's not going to close the gap. This team needs to get more athletic not less.
  15. It's a good thing they have a Hall of Famer baseball person to make it all work.
  16. I think Vaughn is a core player too but he's not going to play 162 games next season and Eloy certainly won't. They'll be plenty of AB's for both.
  17. Grandal has started 48% of his games with the Sox at the catcher position. Going into his age 33 season I don't thnk anyone can expect that number to jump greatly so a second catcher will get plenty of starts behind the plate. Sheets will be the odd man out when they acquire a LHH RF. I think he'll be part of a trade package.
  18. The Cubs released Schwarber because they didn't want to pay him $8M. He went on to have a monster season and they just let him walk out the door for nothing. It was an incredibly short-sighted decision because they were scared of the money. If the Sox decline Kimbrel's option and let him walk out the door for nothing they would be making the same stupid mistake the Cubs made. I don't think they're going to be that short-sighted.
  19. The Cubs got blasted and rightfully so for being short-sighted with Kyle Schwarber. The Sox won't make that same mistake.
  20. Ole Bernie must not have been at the 22 walk game the other day.
  21. Craig Kimbrel and Matthew Thompson for Gavin Lux
