Stone probably realized he went overboard on his initial shots at the fans, especially with how putridly the Sox proceeded to play after his comments. Stone is right about needing a lefty power bat but they can really only do this at catcher (Grandal), RF, And 1B/DH. I believe all the free agent RF options are right-handed bats though (Ozuna, Puig, Castellanos. And they also need to sign two starting pitchers.

No. And your point makes it all the more important for free agents to get the most money they can. Players get about one or two chances at free agency.
