Yolmer left his heart in SF
With Madrigal already expected to be a good defender and Mendick as some insurance, the Sox can grab one of the better available 2B bat bench options. I just hope they take advantage of the many veteran options available. Here they are again... Brian Dozier Wilmer Flores Scooter Gennett Brock Holt Jason Kipnis Jordy Mercer Brad Miller Addison Russell Ben Zobrist

Yep. While Steve Stone apparently has a massive ego, that 2003/2004 Cubs team had one collective fragile ego.- Yolmer left his heart in SF
This isn’t the first time Stone has done something like this. https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-2004-10-02-0410020225-story.html- Yolmer left his heart in SF
It’s very strange. Stone definitely seems to have an attitude problem. He literally gets angry at people who tweet him about players (i.e. Puig, Arenado) that he has stated the Sox aren’t interested in. But even Hahn said that the Sox were still open to bringing Yolmer back as recently as this past weekend at SoxFest.- Yolmer left his heart in SF
I saw that tweet by Stone and was a bit surprised he crapped all over Yolmer.- Yolmer left his heart in SF
Steve Stone’s thoughts on Yolmer...- Opening Day 26 Man Roster Discussion
Steve Stone is having fans post their opening day lineups and has responded to three fans with: “Madrigal will not open in Chicago” “No Madrigal” “Lopez will be 5 with Kopech starting in AAA” Sounds like he knows for sure.- Yolmer left his heart in SF
I posted this last night but good news for anyone that buys that Stone is privy to Hahn’s dealings.- Yolmer left his heart in SF
Take your pick. Outside of Russell, can anyone honestly say they would rather have Yolmer over some of the remaining 2B bench options? Brian Dozier Wilmer Flores Scooter Gennett Brock Holt Jason Kipnis Jordy Mercer Brad Miller Addison Russell Ben Zobrist- Offseason 2019-2020 MLB Catch All Thread

Well, I can’t say much for David Ross but the guy that replaced Renteria has a 2016 World Series ring. I think Theo hired Ross to be his puppet manager.- Yolmer left his heart in SF
If Renteria was thought so highly of, why were the Cubs so quick to dump him and why was there no interest in hiring him outside of a team that is notorious for not wanting to spend much on managers and was intentionally tanking for the sake of a rebuild?- Offseason 2019-2020 MLB Catch All Thread
The Red Sox just DFA’ed their #26 prospect SP Denyi Reyes to make room for the re-signing of Mitch Moreland. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?ID=198829- Yolmer left his heart in SF
Yep, one can argue they were giving a new DH option a shot since their other options were horrible but why bat him fourth?- Yolmer left his heart in SF
Yolmer signing elsewhere is a good thing. It opens up the opportunity for them to bring in someone better. Brock Holt, Scooter Gennett, etc.- Steve Stone Hinting At Another Move: Not Puig / Castellanos
I’d prefer they spend a few million on someone good.- Is Mookie Betts a real option for the Sox with payroll history??
I don’t see how he’s a realistic signing even if he wants $300 million. ?- Yolmer left his heart in SF
Nice savings of around $6 million. I will guess he makes the Giants but it’s obvious he wasn’t that highly desired.- Castellanos to Reds , rumored 4/64M
Do people seriously think that the Sox are going to sign Betts for $300+ million dollars?- Steve Stone Hinting At Another Move: Not Puig / Castellanos
I think that’s probably it. Most teams want him as a utility man. He would likely start at 2B for the Cubs but they have no money to pay him.- Steve Stone Hinting At Another Move: Not Puig / Castellanos
Steve Stone made some interesting replies to fan questions on his Twitter tonight. Basically, he shot down any Sox interest in Puig and Zobrist but said Brock Holt is an interesting name when a fan suggested Holt and Brad Miller. Stone also says Madrigal won’t be rushed so it sure doesn’t sound like he will make the opening day roster.- The new FutureSox dot com - it's here! Give it a look.
I heard the first step to becoming a mod here is by throwing in a fat lipper, getting on your knees, and praising the great Pito. ? By the way, great site on mobile. I love how the articles fit perfectly in portrait mode and when you change your phone to landscape, you can also see the Twitter feeds, at least on iPhone. I haven’t tried it on Android.- The Beer Thread
Not my favorite style, simply because they all mostly taste the same... like banana. I also am not a huge fan of Pilsners because they mostly taste similar to me.- The Beer Thread
Destihl is amazing. The joint and the food. Great service and more like a fine dining experience than the usual brewery with food service. Another great place to try here in the suburbs with great beer and food is More Brewery in Villa Park, although the awesome head brewer left to start Phase Three. - Yolmer left his heart in SF
