Anyone who is currently or in the process of building a gaming PC can get Control and the new Wolfenstein games as free downloads if you buy a new Nvidia card. I recently built two gaming computers for my two kids with Nvidia cards (GTX 2070’s) and noticed these free games came with the GPU’s.

NFL Thread 2019-2020
I expect the Bears defense to be really good and Trubisky to once again hold them back. He’s just going to be an above average QB but he’s not going to be a star. It’s amazing how they could’ve been a dynasty if they took Mahomes instead. I don’t think I will ever get over that one.

Reinsdorf assures Ron that Abreu will always be a White Sox
This is my understanding and here is the proof: https://touchemalljoe.wordpress.com/2010/04/11/slugging-ops-and-ops/ “The calculation for OPS+ is shown below. One important thing to note when calculating OPS+ is to be sure that the league averages for OBP and SLG are also park adjusted before plugging them into the formula. The main issue with OPS+ is the same problem that OPS has. It treats OBP and SLG as equally important, when in reality OBP is about 1.7 times more important.”

Tim Anderson's WAR
Micah Johnson over Semien, jeebus. That is some piss-poor scouting and player evaluation.

And That's a Future of the White Sox Winner !
Hahn wanted to rebuild from the start and Kenny kept acquiring veteran stop-gaps. It’s all Kenny’s fault and only his fault. ? Honestly though, I’m pretty sure we can all agree that there are no more excuses for Hahn starting this upcoming offseason and the 2020 season. He needs to nail this offseason and the Sox need to finish 2020 with a winning record and a legitimate shot at the postseason.

Agreed. Greg, trading for known top prospects is a no-brainer. The credit for Hahn should be in locking up Sale and Quintana to such desirable and inexpensive long-term deals when he did. This made Sale and Q extremely high valued in the trade market. Also, he definitely waited for his price on Q. That was a smart move.

September Call Ups - Who gets the Nod?
He did the opposite of Collins. Still bad.

2020 RF options
Between his hot streak with the Cubs and his agent (Boras) he is pricing himself out of any realistic chance of the Sox signing him.

2020 RF options
Agreed. Personality wins zip. I’m sure Ricky would make a cool grandpa but his baseball knowledge and strategy is stuck in the Dead Ball Era. He can go ruin some other team and call for bunts to try to score one run in the 2nd inning of games. He’s terrible. Also, if Hahn brings back Yolmer for around $6 million, that may be all the confirmation I need to know he is the wrong GM for this team.

Job Thread
I would work on certifications, which is easy if you are in the IT field. I am no expert on certs in other fields. But you don’t have to actually go back to school and certs are highly valued by companies, sometimes even moreso than what degree you may have. But a college degree + relevant certs in the job field you are applying for is highly desireable.

I think you need to focus on the bolded part the most. In my 15+ year career in IT, I think I clashed with one boss, and it was “clashing” in the form of verbal disagreement, not anything out of line. This really shouldn’t be something that occurs that much in someone’s career and may be the root of your struggles. Cuz guess what, usually your boss is going to win the argument and you will be out of a job, whether by your choice or not.

Honestly, a college education is usually what gets you in the door in your career in an entry level position. However, it’s usually the years of experience in your field that are what keep you employed and give you the opportunity to change jobs and improve on your position and salary.

2020 RF options
The point is there’s no reason to settle for mediocrity at any position when the Sox have money to spend. Even adding a guy like Corey Dickerson for RF won’t cost that much but would improve the team quite a bit because Dickerson > Leury and Leury would then strengthen the bench.

Sorry, agreed. I meant RP plural. And just because I want a new manager doesn’t mean I want Omar. But you are unfortunately likely right about Omar. Doesn’t mean it’s the correct decision though. But if I have to choose, I’d probably take the Devil I don’t know in Omar over the Devil I do know in Ricky.

Getting robbed/what has come of society, etc?
9 and 5.56 for me. But now only online dealers get my money, not Walmart.

2020 RF options
Agreed. Pass. I’d rather sign Dickerson for only money to play RF for a year or two.

Luis Robert and Nick Madrigal
The ultimate proof will be if they don’t make the opening day roster and get called up after the “Kris Bryant” deadline expires. But what can Hahn say? We all know what the deal is. If neither guy signs a long term deal in the offseason, they will be up in a couple weeks into next season.

Great game. This will be the most important Sox offseason in years. 2 SP RF C RP Manager

Conforto, two more seasons of control, agent is Boras. Eh, I guess having him for two seasons would be fun. I see Hahn looking elsewhere.

Sox at Tribe
True, but Collins did make a big change. He is crouching much more in his stance which shrunk his strike zone a bit and it’s also helping him lay off the high heat. This change along with his already amazing patience will hopefully lead to continued success. I’m sure Parkman is happy to be wrong. The funny thing is we still don’t know if he can catch on a consistent basis because he hasn’t had the opportunity but his bat looks like it has potential.

I love the idea but who are we realistically giving up for Conforto?
-
Sox at Tribe
Eloy with a sick game. Cease got screwed but at least he didn’t take the L.
-
Sox at Tribe
I thought Parkman has already admitted he could’ve been wrong about Collins after he went back down to AAA, changed his stance, and started to tear it up?
-
Sox at Tribe
I don’t see Castro being worth it. Either go big (Grandal) or stick with McCann / Collins and see what Collins can do.

Ricky has never heard of a high leverage situation. 8th inning setup men pitch the 8th inning and closers take the 9th. We really need a new manager before this team gets good.
