Is this cat going to be the opening day starter for Winston-Salem?

Who is your top 2019-20 free agent target
Not all of the outfield prospects are going to pan out. Relying on all of them to hit and be productive mlb players is a fools errand. I suspect some of the outfield prospects will be dealt for pitching. I also see the Sox going hard for a guy like Puig on a 3-4 year deal this offseason.

Herrera and Fry are gonna be gascans this year.

Is KC already farther along in their rebuild than the Sox? Merrifield and Mondesi both look like players who are gonna be putting up 5 plus WAR for the next 7-8 years. Keller is only 22 and looks better than anyone in the Sox organization right now.

This is what tanking looks like. Better get used to it. It ain't ending anytime soon.

Yep.The tanking days are far far from over. Let's hope there is a can't miss guy like Harper, Bryant, or Bregman in 2020.

It's been breaking news for the past decade though and doesn't seem like it is going to get better anytime soon.

Sox half innings last less than 5 minutes KC's half innings last a half hour.

Lopez is going deep in every count and can't put guys away. He's been bad and so has the defense.

New year, same shit. This is a bad bad baseball team.

This Mondesi kid on KC looks pretty legit. They have some nice building blocks with him, Merrifield, and Keller.

2019 Minor League Infields
This list is pretty damn depressing honestly. Madrigal is the only guy in the top 150 prospects.

KC is tanking like the Sox. Is Merrifield going to be part of their "core" or will they trade him soon? Dude could bring back some legit prospects from a contender.

Predict the White Sox Record After 30 Games
I concur. Good thing that it is another throw away season so wins and losses don't matter. I'll say 10-20.

Sox interested in Yolbert Sanchez
The disturbing thing is that the Sox spent a ton of time scouting a Vanderbilt Team that had both Carson Fulmer and Walker Buehler in the starting rotation. We all know who the Sox thought was the better pitcher...

Luck is not a viable plan.

Eloy officially got paid
There isn't much we can do as Sox fans except take the beatings like a man and hope for better days. Attendance will be low again this year as the team sputters through another rough year. JR can't live forever. We may just have to hunker down for another decade or so and wait the old man out.

Dane Dunning had Tommy John today
Let's hope that Dunning and Kopech's recovery goes better than Burdi's. Kopech and Dunning are keys cogs to the rebuild. It seems like Burdi's arm is completely shot or something as he has been a ghost this Spring.

Roster Cuts Thread
Jones will likely be on the 60 day DL and shut down by July. Him and Herrera are going to contribute very little this year.
-
Ian Happ
Jace Fry is the lefty version of Tommy Kahnle. Sox should sell high on him. Happ is a young positive WAR player. He could turn into a poor mans Ben Zobrist.
-
Ian Happ
Yep. The Cubs would most likely want one or two guys from the Sox bullpen. I would move Colome for Happ in a second. Hopefully Colome, Hererra, and Jones all pitch well in the first half and can be moved for something interesting.
-
Ian Happ
Cubs would probably want some close to ready bullpen arms. Maybe something like Ian Hamilton and Burdi?
-
Ian Happ
Fulmer is a negative WAR player for his career. Theo would hang up and laugh.

Verlander getting an extension..
I think the Sox see 2020 as another tank year. 2021 should be the first year where all the kids are up together. The Sox should be ready to make some serious noise in 2022 hopefully. The Sox won't be ready to add an expensive short term contract for a TOR arm for another 2-3 years most likely.

Verlander getting an extension..
This is only year 3 of the rebuild. Houston spent close to 6 years tanking and building up the farm. Kansas City's rebuild took almost 9 years. If the Sox are too frugal and/or risk adverse to sign impact talent via FA then they will have to either trade for it or grow it in house. Moncada and Lopez can be traded in 4 years or sooner if needed. Why would there be more urgency? JR has guaranteed profits even if 5K people show up every night. KW and Hahn have jobs for life as long as they remain yes men.
