I think you all know that I get my Trib my mail and it comes late and I read it later tonught I am reading the 6 March edition, the one where on the front page it reports that 716,000 people have dropped out of the looking for a job market since November and that we have gone 43 consecutive months with declines in manufacturing jobs and I know why the Monica Republicans (those who kneel in front of G W Bush) didn't want to talk about that front page story because the economy is improving, the same reason they didn't talk about Greenspan and Bush saying that social security benefts must be cut to make up for the tax cuts for the rich. But how did they miss this? Federal grand jury subpoenas for transcripts from Air Force One on blowing the cover of a CIA agent - do we try Bush for treason now or later? Come, ye Monica Republicans, explain this - or at least explain why in all the things that you catch from the news and post about, why this one was missed. Explain it in light of how a blow job was so terrible but blowing the cover of a CIA agent for political revenge is so ho hum you can't bother to note it. Transcript: Bush staff went after ambassador:[Chicago Final Edition] Tom Brune, Tribune Newspapers: Newsday. Chicago Tribune. Chicago, Ill.: Mar 6, 2004. pg. 9 Full Text (259 words) Copyright 2004 by the Chicago Tribune) A transcript subpoenaed in the CIA leak investigation reveals the White House press operation began trying to discredit former Ambassador Joseph Wilson IV days before a columnist blew the cover of his CIA-officer wife. A federal grand jury served three subpoenas on the White House in January for Air Force One telephone records and a transcript of a news briefing during the presidential trip to Africa the week before Robert Novak's July 14 column identifying CIA officer Valerie Plame. The grand jury also subpoenaed White House records of staff contacts with more than two dozen reporters who wrote or broadcast about administration concerns over Plame, Wilson and his CIA report that rejected rumors that Iraq tried to buy uranium in Niger. The White House confirmed it had received subpoenas. The efforts to discredit Wilson came after he went public July 6 with criticism of President Bush for mentioning the uranium rumor in his State of the Union address in January 2003. The information was part of the administration's case for the Iraq war. In the subpoenaed July 12 transcript of a briefing in Nigeria, then-press secretary Ari Fleischer called Wilson a "lower-level official" and said Wilson had made flawed and incomplete statements. Fleischer did not return calls seeking comment Friday. Many of the journalists listed in a subpoena have reported various attempts by the Bush administration last year to discredit Wilson. For example, Time magazine reported three days after Novak's column that administration officials had described Plame's relationship to Wilson and suggested she had gotten him the Niger mission. the only time in MLB history in the playoffs where an African American manager, pitcher, and catcher were on the mound together - our Sox in 2000

I kindly suggest you do do some more historical research on the US funding and training Osama and his friends 1981-1989
-
no one suggested that ALL other ways has been tried in the prior years - but as for what was done, it did work in that all the massacres that took place during the Reagan-Bush years 1981-93 were not repeated and all the WOMD were gone without invasion and that sounds like working to me
-
no world series tickets this year for you...
-
ss2k4, no wonder my scores are better than yours at the NTN game mr eye, no one advocated doing nothing 1. when has anyone in the adminsitration admitted they f***ed up? 2. what part of "there were other ways" is not understandable?
-
DK, I am really curious about your signature...

The same people making the same short shorted policies, those who lied about imminent threats and WOMD and nuclear weapons, those who promised us dancing in the streets after PR named "liberation" and we destroyed the infrastructure and Iraq has not exactly gone peaceful has it - a simple fact that seems to escape our policy makers is that people do not like their country invaded no matter what pretext and what has been the upshgot is that we have increased the risk of terrorism - as counter productive a stgrategy as had happened before there were better ways, there were other ways, more effective ways, much discussed at the time and Iraq's internal situation was not an atrocity filled one the past few years because of the depletion of the regime plus the utter lack of remorse or hubris on the part of the adminsitration and its supporters - where is the one among them who admits to having the blood on their hands or being wrong? Reagan Bush Rumsfield Cheney etc gave military aid to Saddam when it suited their temporary purposes - Bush, Cheney sat back and did nothing when Kurds were massacured, encouraged people to rise up and did nothing with troops stationed there when Saddam reacted - and these people want pionts for "doing something" about the "horrible crimes" that took place in their watch? They themselves were accomplices. - gees lets get a lecture on Clinton and blow jobs rather than discuss the accomplices of atrocities, those in office 1981-1993 (who also aided Osama bin laden) who are the same people in now other than Reagan no, we will get more about Monica and how "moral" Bush is (which ios to laugh) - and that's a major part of the reason that I am sickened by the arguments of the defenders of this administration

no way in hell

and I have always opposed the enemy of enemy thing - that is how we funded and trained Osama Bin Laden (another Reagan Bush effort) and while we were funding Saddam to practice butchery against his own people with the resources we freed up for his war with Iran, on the other hand there was Oliver North and Iran-Contra -- and the same incredibly inept crew is in office now - let us not forget Bush 1's pardon of Admiral Poindexter and Bush 2's appointment of Poindexter to major policy roles in the current outgoing administration
-
I could do that too
-
Selig? Posture? Surely you jest
-
While I was actrively opposing US policy towards Saddam in the 1980s when the Reagan and Bush administrations were pouring aid to the murderous Saddam, who supported Saddam so he could kill? The blood is on the hands of more than Saddam and elephant tears about "liberation" now are as bogus as can be. The fact remains there were alternatives to war regarding Iraq and the fact remains the massive amounts of butchery Saddam practiced were because of the support he got from Reagan and Bush which allowed him to divert resources to other uses - which was well known then

flash, I don't know to respond to that in an nice way so I won't respond at all other than to wonder why someone can't dislike something without having to say such incredibly cruel things - she was one of my favorites and she was a human being and I know her brother and that was just viciousness that was not needed I agree with you on ELo and I am going to try and forget the rest of what you said

Fearless is an extraordinary movie - brilliant, thoughtful, one of the most thought producing movies I ever saw - just love that film, wonderfully acted by Jeff Bridges and Isabella Rosselini - the script is one of the best ever written that movie is so under rated

Thank you. Failed physical. Balance problems - a little ear infection you get antibiotcs. This is much more that that. power down. defense down. I always liked Chris. But not like this. Guys always want to go back and date their old girl friends But there is time to see goodbye and be gone and not live in the past. I don't want my good memories of Chris to be ruined by seeing him play at a mere fraction of what he was. And I don't want a shell of a once decent player on the bench occupying a roster spot keeping an upcoming future player off the 25 player squad.
