I have a raging headache - make it better Tony!
-
well, that was something ...
-
he was past, history, ego, and looking for his numbers, not a team guy - why play the fading past rather the developing future? it is a shame - not that his personality and his conspiracy theories endear him to anyone -
-
and while you bash Michigan elsewhere out of blind hostility, let me take a moment to comment that what Self did with the recruit(s) is just plain wrong - so :fyou Kansas and :fyou Self and all his stolen recruits - I am on board with you on this on Big 10 solidarity no doubt in the Big 12 we must all be Iowa State fans now
-
for nothing? for nothing? go back and learn Illini history - the school has a long history of NCAA violations going back decades Michigan (89 NCAA champs) had an out of control program for 3-4 years, first time in history, and we dumped ADs, coaches, and whole seasons, banners down, records erased, and gave up this last for the NCAA on voluntary probation - if we have one more year to do, so be it, but we have been up front about it - not like Il-whine-ois if you are hoping Chris Webber gets nailed for his perjury - so by the way is everyone in Michigan - that scum was a large part of the problem and we hope he gets what is coming to him for his contributions to the violations
-
may be, just may be -- damn it Garland
-
I have no idea what his lifestyle is - but his Charlotee numbers say a lot If I am Tampa Bay do I play the past or the future?
-
I won't argue that the penalty is unfair - I hope the appeal prevails, but our program was way out of control - granted it was a while ago and several coaches and ADs ago - but that was conduct unbecoming Michigan. Obviously you need to never attend another OSU game. I have never seen UM lose to OSU (I did not attend the 2001 gamne, see what happens?) - this season, give me your tickets - I'll bring home a winner again -

:fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou

it was 2-0 when I left work and 2-2 when i get home - can't count on you guys to hold a lead when I'm traveling, huh?

And one could pull quotes out of any number of Verdi or Puccini operas and find similiar comments, out of context. The difference is, for Eminem, Verdi, and Puccini, is that those who commit violence against women are considered sick and losers at best - or have you never listened all the way through to the whole of his work? The difference is a description of what violence is (Em, Puccini, Verdi, etc) and those whose adovate or find humor in violence. And that Em has documented the effects of violence of the children in abusive homes by graphically describing what those effects is a long, long way from advocating violence. It is a most subtle but totally crucial difference. I checked out the Boston Globe website and the quotes there have Ryan saying that he himself wants to smack Mrs. Kidd. That is a new twist. That is who you defended - someone who supplemets their income richly by doing tv shows saying that a woman who wants to supplement her income by doing tv should be smacked and the victim of further violence. Refusal to take responsibilty - whether it is your guy Ryan who who cry for, or anyone else - tears for the wrong people. When you have spent any part of your life caring for the victims (women and children) of domestic violence, you might have some moral footing to stand on. You have none now to lecture me or anyone on.

Now they just need to trade Tony Bernazard for Julio Cruz and the rest is history. no, we just need to find someone to trade D'Lo for - or Willie - or whoever is the 2nd baseman de jour
-
just for that, I am cheering for the Lakers...
-
we all care! thanks for the update! for you Yofu

Steff, not offense intended at Everett as I failed to make clear - I actually kind of liked Belle but he was a PR diaster, right or wrong; I was Royce's fan (as I did not know of his off field exploits) and he was a PR diaster - Everett is another PR diaster. For whatever reason, right or wrong.
-
Everett - oh good, another pr diaster and team cancer, another Belle, another Cordero, another Clayton -
-
thanks - once the quotes started having 3 or more separate posts in them, they got unreadable - and way way way too long - I appreciate the new feature, thanks Jason!
-
and what does that make Jason, HSC, me, baggio, RPS, cubkilla, and a few others, huh? having 1,000 posts for you means that you are involved and have thoughts to share - and that another bottle of rye has probably hit the dust tonight!

Facts - here is the quote from the story, for the facts Show me the ha ha funny part where he shows he was not serious. Show me the part where he was just funnin'. Show me the ha ha humor here, please. Show me the part where he was not advocating someone beating the crap out out of her. Maybe that is what it takes, half a brain, to find this as funny, just funnin', not serious. sensationalizing? How? Make light of what you will. I prefer to have my outrage at those who smack women, or find it funny, or trivialize it, as opposed to having outrage when an overpaid sports number reader pays the penalty for advocating on the air the smacking of a woman who has already suffered domestic abuse.

the 83 team took off when Fisk started batting 2nd - just a reminder ...
