  1. I am listening to the KC MLB broadcast - the Jays have 5 in the 9th to tie the game, 2 outs, a couple on, Shannon Stewart at bat and almost hit, 3-1 count
  2. the MLB radio says it is tied - are they that slow?
  3. Help me, I am trolling. I checked the twins boards to see what they said about the Garland thing last night and they were all arrogant so I left a little hi for them - suggesting throwing at our batters was not the way the win - I got challenged to come back today so I just stopped to say hi again - I have never trolled before but it''s only 3 posts in 2 days and 2 victories so is that really trolling? and those assholes deserve it!!!!
  4. it was a nasty moment on the MLB boards - someone bashed Daubach and I ripped the f***er a new one - not even sure why I did - and just then baggio jumped on the CLee bandwagon - but it seems to be working! go bash someone who needs bandwagon jumping on the MLB boards and I'll rip into you
  5. baggio, see what happens when I jump on the BD bandwagon?
  6. it wasn't the discussion that you wanted to watch, was it?
  7. f*** ESPN. Those who watch it should email them or contact them otherwise to complain.
  8. That was funny! And great! Even DJ was getting worked up! I will always remember Hawk screaming "That is BS"!!!!!!
  9. I don't believe that common statement. Look at the pitching staff: Eldred breaks down in July. Baldwin. Sirotka who has never pitched again. Parque to all intents and purposes has never pitched again. Someone did something to get that team to the playoffs with a pitching staff such as we had. I also remember JM juggling the pitching rotation to make he had key pitchers for key games. You shouldn't deny a person credit for what he has done when you judge that person by the same standards for what he has not done. If you want him gone, still give him credit for his accomplishments.
  10. There are no circumstances in which I ever want the Sox to lose one game, let alone a long streak - I don't understand that thinking at all. I want wins, not losses. Hawk as manager - no. I remember his days as GM too well to ever want him as manager. I have no thirst to change managers. Can JM win a division title? The answer is yes. He's done it. And I look for him to do it again this year.
  11. glad to see someone was paying attention.......... I am not very smart but I leared a long time ago that listening carefully can take you a long way - and I know as sure as anything that listening to you is a very key skill that I want to have. Listening is a lost art, though, or maybe an art that never was! I thought you ahd put up a large neon flashing sign for everyone to see, at least twice now, once in this thread, and no one posted on it. Meanwhile I am making plans to ply you with margaretas next time I see you to learn more! (of course you can email me) (and off subject thank you for the earlier email - I got in touch immediately and have heard back and I don't know more than you but I was glad to know so I could send my love and really touched she took time out to reply tonight, so thank you - I would have been very unhappy had I not known until later because those two are so very special to me - that is one reason I took the boys at the Yankee game last season so you could all have some grown up time together, it was my gift to you in a class by yourself with me and two wonderful people who i really like)

    Grossman!

trust me - every time I see Ty Law on tv to this day I scream at him, "knock the f***ing ball down you asshole." Makes it fun when my grandson and I watch the Patriots - we cheer for Tom Brady and scream obscenities at Ty Law. I was there that day. I saw that game. One of the worst moments of my life.
  13. Not a spolier. The Tigers will get their wins - if not the expected 60, at least 50. So they'll beat everyone. That's why all the crying because we are "only" 5-1 against them was just a tad much. No one (hardly ever, if it has ever happened) will win all 18-19 games in a season against a division opponent so not end of the world that we lost one to Detroit, as have the As and the Mariners. But spoiler, no. Just a team that if everything goes right with their plan, a team that is 4-5 years away but will take their lumps this season.
  14. In all of the JM bashing and cheering for the Twins in this thread I think it is significant that because of the b****ing everyone missed HSC's little news item which she has hinted at before: Einhorn does not like KW. Einhorn was very sick but now is back. And remembering last year that JR was pissed as hell at KW for the Big Hurt fiasco with Boston and the angry scene in the offices with pounding of tables, you have been told that the smart money is not on your wish to fire JM (and I personally think it would be stupid as hell to fire JM now and at least for the duration of this season) - the smart money is now on KW being the one to go.
  15. oh, there is someone here besides me pulling for the Sox - glad you posted! I thought I was the only one! To everyone who wanted Minnesota to win ... is as nicely as I can put it.

    Grossman!

I watched the Florida-FSU game and I would not argue with you at all, not at all. I thought it was hype that got him 2nd in the 2001 Heisman (and no real winner out there, so someone had to be in the top 5). And he did not strike fear in me at all for the bowl game. Considering who Florida had passing on their last offensive play (and it sure wasn't Grossman), wonder what confidence they had in Grossman Your other question I cannot say for sure. I thought it was Michael Haynes which I really enjoyed when Murc told me he was drafted (but I didn't tell Murc why I was laughing because he is a Bears fan and didn't want to f*** his day) - but before I answered I cross checked on the PSU website 2002 PSDU roster and they show 81 being Isaac someone, a TE, and don't list Haynes at all.???????? However, check the link for the 2001 roster and it shows Haynes at 81. I was positive it was Haynes. There was a reason that I selected that photo of Navarre. But looking at the roster, I will not say that it is with 100% certainty. Besides I don't need all these bears fans spitting at my signature just cause Haynes is getting blocked out. He is a good player and I think he will do well on the Bears. Hell, I hope he is rookie of the year and goers to every all star game in his career! Don't matter to me - he never beat Michigan and that is what counts in my world. Same goes for Grossman. I wish him all good things, now that hje lost to us. However I detest Kordell Stewart and am glad a lot of you are too young to rememeber why.

    Grossman!

You said "cade mcnown" - I didn't. I don't the individual players in sports as closely as some people do but I do study everyone that we (UM) play and I what I said about Grossman is what I picked up this last season. The bowl game announcers - who wanted to hype him over the entire UM team and were pissed off that Michgan won - spent most of the game talking about his disappointing season play. I noticed that he did not improve from 2001 to 2002, in fact, he regressed. The bowl game announcers were also saying how he needed one more year. Some famous Florida alums now in the NFL were on the sidelines saying the same thing. That he left because of why he did is a matter of concern, if I were a Bears fan, which I really am not. But what the f***. My team the Dolphs didn't have a pick until the 49th one and what are they going to do with their coach anyway. And the pro team in Detroit - and I have become a huge Harrington fan but not a Lions fan, that just is not possible - drafted the biggest personality reject since the Vikings did a few years ago, and both recievers too - the Lions will regret the day they bowed to local pressure and drafted Carl (It is all about me) Rogers. Grossman may turn out alright since he doesn't have to be savior, which he is not equipped right now to do. But his lack of improvement from season to season and his poor play in two of his biggest games last season (or maybe it was just the Michigan defense was so damned good! But they were!) and why he left Florida now has Cade McKnown written it from where I sit. For your sake I hope I am wrong. But you sensed it too - it sure sounded to em like the Bears settled for qb this year instead of getting someone good.
  18. hsc, I haven't seen opening day pictures - send me a link - I can't find your posting place link - Koch Proof®
  19. I'll grant you that - but Koch Proof ® is mine!
  20. Bush shouldn't have his snippy assed feelings hurt just because some people don't want to buy his policies. You know, freedom is a two-way street.
  21. lol cw.. he couldnt spell it much less say it.. RPS can't spell the word "f***"? We have to start tutoring him sometime.
  22. how can they "retaliate" when they've been hitting our picthers all along? They can only continue their preemptive attacks. I do not olike intentionally throwing at batters, I am against that. I thought watching the ball bounce off that fat ass was the funniest thing I have seen in a while! I thought Hawk was going to have a stoke over that atrocious call.
