40 years of tone-deaf Reinsdorf apologists.... just as tiresome. It is indeed a new level of condescension towards the base. Oh how I wish he could have bought in his native New York.

The White Sox will not be fine. This is not going to blow over. What coaches in their right mind want to be associated with this manager ? Wait until the hot stove warms up and FA's look the other way. CWS should be the premier destination and that foolish owner is ruining it. Only the sponser$ can get Reinsdorf's attention before it's too late. That or some billionaire consortium that could make Reinsdorf an offer he couldn't refuse.

Well if he retains TLR there won't be any elite coaches or free agent difference-makers coming here. Rein$dorf will have his built-in excuse not to spend any money.

The tone-deaf hiring of TLR by that lunatic, loathsome owner was a horrid business decision on many levels. TLR's defiance and arrogance garners no sympathy from me. If he really cares about this organization, he"ll back away on his own.

Just a no-brainer type of decision. Reinsdorf really took the heat off the Tigers and now has a perfect excuse why he won't be spending any money on elite FA's - no one wants to come here. This guy is sadistic. He'll never give us the satisfaction of turning over the keys to new ownership.

The fact TLR hasn't resigned on his own to avoid further embarassment to the organization speaks volumes. Reinsdorf's posture is thoroughly expected. The native New Yorker doesn't give a rat's ass about either fanbase.

Reinsdorf and TLR both need interventions. What top notch coaches want their reputations sullied with this nightmarish ownership and their field-manager in waiting ? I truly feel sorry for the team.

The point is Reinsdorf has whined for decades his biggest sports related mistake was allowing Hawk to fire TLR. So in this case attempting to right an perceived ancient wrong is exactly what Reinsdorf did. TLR was an absolute disaster in the Diamondbacks front office. So he comes his best bud Jerry to swoop in and save the day. They both need to sail away. It got so bad the fans here in Chicago booed TLR every time he went to the mound.
