Those last two outs in the 7th show why Robert and Vaughn need to go. No reason for Robert to even swing at the first pitch after a four pitch walk to Thais.

Absolutely no way two runs wins this game.

What you are seeing in this series are two rebuilding teams, but one knows how to recognize talent when trading and one that can’t. Guess which is which.

Why the hell does Venable bat Thais so high up in the order?

I was watching the Yankees-Padres series this week (I live in NY State) and thought it was interesting that the Yankee announcer, when referring to ex-Sox players Gavin Sheets and Dylan Cease, said they “escaped” the White Sox, not just came over from the Sox. Kind of tells you what other organizations think of this team.

4 runs in four games, including two shutouts, but no, they can’t use a red hot Tim Elko in the lineup! The Sox brass are a bunch of schmucks. Put it in the book, 0-13 vs KC this year!

Game should be tied going into extras, but I’m kind of glad I don’t get to see this team in extras.

Shifren says Venable likes going with a lefty opener when the opposing lineup is stacked with lefties. Ah, the first two batters were righties and one homered!

What was the purpose of putting a pinch runner for Quero if you were not going to try to steal second and stay out of the double play, which, by the way, did happen. Vaughn should have been given the take sign to allow for the steal. With a runner on third, there’s a good chance the A’s wouldn’t even throw through!

My take on Robert is that the trade possibility is messing with his mind. I bet once he is traded he will go on a tear with his new team.
