Where do you get that he had his bursa removed? Every article I’ve seen says he had debridement done and full recovery was expected?

Sandwich pick has nowhere near the value of an ace. There’s zero chance the Sox could acquire that caliber of pitcher for what Rodon potentially might cost, unless he’s commanding 35+ million per year. I don’t even think he’s that big of a risk. Guys who recover from TJS are usually durable

It was 4/68. If the Sox could sign Rodon to something similar, in the event he finishes the year healthy, they’d be foolish not to. Guys like Eovaldi have nowhere near Rodon’s upside. Even if it’s risky it’s highly unlikely a player that can do what Rodon can do is signing for that amount.
  4. Has anyone compiled these to find the overall effect?
  5. I think that’s Yermin when he’s cold. He’s still getting some hits because he makes contact, but he’s going to heat up again and hard contact will return. I’d be willing to bet his numbers from here to end of season are well north of that
  6. I don’t use fangraphs since it incorporates pitch framing, which isn’t defense.
  7. Only one of them has a positive defensive war and it’s not Grandal
  8. Travis Junior on fire
  9. You’re welcome. You’re welcome
  10. It’s obviously a mechanical issue. Amazing you can read laziness from that but refuse to read between the lines with TLR
  11. The ball is actually greased I tells ya
  12. Thanks Cardinals. I feel bad I didn’t get you anything.
  13. More like Reno based deputy
  14. Has someone greased those balls or what? Cards looking like early April white sox
  15. Engel could solve CF but that still leaves RF
  16. Engel can only play one position at a time
  17. I bet he’d still be considered B- That was all built on the first fifteen games or so. He’s been useless since then. .112/258/.212 since April 27 to go with sub par defense
  18. Micker’s got five home runs in 58 at bats. Let’s just get these guys up if we’re going to have .600 ops and lackluster defense all around anyway.
  19. It’s pretty much guaranteed. I said Grandal can’t walk in runs a couple weeks ago and like two innings late he walked with the bases loaded.?
  20. TLR seems to put Eaton second in the order whenever facing a top shelf starter, as if he’s going to suck less against them for some reason.
  21. The game threads ARE awful. I still like them though
  22. It won’t matter if TA hits a homer if the Cards score first. He looked at Gio’s 7.00 era in the first inning and thought it was a good bet. He’s not fooling me!
  23. Batting Grandal third would be insane. Having a batter with less than 10% of his plate appearances resulting in a hit in a prime run production spot
  24. You think Moncada would actually lap Grandal on balls in play? It’s not like he’s stealing a ton of bases. It’s not ideal but might as well maximize Grandal’s one offensive attribute, when he’s obviously not the guy to drive in many runs and you don’t have a better option. Rather have a slow runner on base than none at all.
  25. That just means he’s due for an L
