QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 01:20 PM) Green Day won a Grammy Sweet. Foo Fighters was my favorite CD of last year by far. They got stiffed if they didn't win anything, IMO.

Was the latest Foo Fighters and/or Green Day nominated for anything?
  4. Sectional seedings for AA schools were voted on last night. Not posted on ihsa.org as of yet though.

You mean this picture could be altered? Back in the 90's, she was one of the sexiest women on the planet. I don't think she is as hideous as a lot of people think but since she has gone wacko, she has gone down hill. Mariah, if you read this, PM me.
  6. Was searching for some RPI information and came across this site. This particular page lets you compare any two teams in college basketball. Pretty cool. The whole site is rather well done as well. warrennolan.com

QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 07:22 AM) but I wanted to see the Madonna performance and happened to stick around to see Kelly Clarkson win the first award which had be hysterical since everyone was saying that Mariah the whale was going to sweep... I only wish they would have showed her reaction. I can imagine she dived into a ho ho between sobs.. oink, oink.. hehe. You're evil. First Scarlett and Keira and now Mariah...REEEEEER.
  8. I'm comfortable with a 10 point lead and 10 minutes left.

QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Feb 8, 2006 -> 08:49 PM) I would be more excited about it if they didn't show how every one dies in one preview or another... For real? I didn't notice or think about those shots in the trailer.
  10. Avoid the CLAP --Jimmy Duggan
  11. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 8, 2006 -> 09:18 AM) Damn man, we probably sat next to each other in the dog pound. You dont by chance remember a row of guys who wore clown wigs to every game do you? LoL, there were a lot of nuts in the student section. I stood there sometimes. Other times I just sat and watched the game instead of standing the whole time. Depended on what type of mood I was in.
  12. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 8, 2006 -> 08:53 AM) Brian, dont forget 4 At large bids in a row. This team has been changing into the Gonzaga mold since before Bruce left. SIU was just smart enough to keep the same system with Painter and Lowery, so they never suffered hiccups in performance. I mean in terms of competeing with major programs. I don't think SIU would of been able to beat MSU like Gonzaga did. When I was at SIU, they were climbing towards where they were now. My senior year they were in the NIT with Kent Williams and Jermaine Dearman. Than the next year was Sweet 16 and told everyone they would make it cuz I saw how good they could be.
  13. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 8, 2006 -> 08:48 AM) Last week during the Wichita St/SIu game, did anyone see the diaper dandy profile on Joshua Bone? Oh man, when he gets to SIU they are gonna be something else. Next year, with Jordan Armstrong and Chris Cornelius coming off the red shirt season and Bone coming in the Salukis are going to be big, strong, and they will be able to shoot much better. AGreed. I'm not throwing this year away by any means, but next year, SIU could be a Gonazaga of sorts. Obviously not a top 10 team but a mid major that can play with major teams.
  14. Mike Tirico, I like him...Thiesmann, eh...and Tony Kornhieser. I'm skeptical on Tony but will give him a shot. I see him as Dennis Miller with football knowledge so that could be a good thing.

I'm probably the only one looking foward to Final Destination 3. I liked the first one. Thought it was different from other teen horror movies at the time. The plot holes were far fetched but it was a fun movie. The 2nd one, I hated. No suspense for the deaths. They tried to make up in gore for story, even though the crash scene on the highway was cool. The 3rd one brings back the guys from the first. I am expecting huge plot holes, bad dialogue and acting, but some suspense and fun in the death scenes and that is all I expect out of a movie like this. I also think the roller coaster idea is clever.
  16. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 11:08 PM) Missouri State goes to a zone and we act like we've never seen one before. You haven't seen That has been a problem, like free throw shooting, for SIU for years. Look last year in the 2nd round game on the tourney. They looked awful against the zone. Just kept swing passing and shooting bricks. No penetration, no hitting the gaps. Ugly stuff.
  17. This just in from Carbondale, Rowand44 won't stop hugging Randall Falker.
  18. Weak foul call to bail out Duke.
  19. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 10:03 PM) SIU WINS w000000000t 64-62. Falker with a dunk and a foul with 5 secs left. Phew!
  20. SIU up 30-27 at halftime over Missouri State. Dawgs not playing well. Hopefully Rowand44 gives me some details. I assume he is at the game.
  21. I'm a fan.
  22. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 11:32 PM) Gordon scores 35 which makes it two games in a row with 35 or more points. Yet he is throwing the inbounds pass to Nocioni with .7 secs left who doesn't realize you can't pump fake with so little time. Gordon looked upset he didn't get the last shot as he was walking off the court.
  23. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 10:15 PM) Scheyer is a good player, but in the Central Suburban North, let's be honest he is playing against crap competition--I would know I live around there. I agree, I see mostly Central Suburban South games and it is GBS and some scrub teams. I have only seen GBS 3 times this year and haven't been impressed once.
  24. QUOTE(CubsSuck1 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 09:26 PM) Scheyer vs Oden Saturday... I'll be there, mainly for the first game of Warren vs. Proviso East, but definetly staing for the night cap.
