Staples, What's It Like to Have Them Removed?
QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ Mar 18, 2009 -> 05:50 PM) I'll be getting stitches out next week; that will be a new experience. Those tickle when pulled out.

Jonathan Hood resigned from AM 1000
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 18, 2009 -> 04:46 PM) J Hood's shining moments have to be his Santo impression on B&B, his 2 hour late night interviews with Aaron Rowand usually spent talking about the Bears and Score hello. I don't think I heard any of him on 1000. This. It sucks 670 doesn't do a Chicago overnight show anymore. They get some crazies calling in and always had unique moments.

Official Recruiting Thread II
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 18, 2009 -> 01:43 PM) Richmond should finish first with Paul 2nd and no one else should really be close. I'm a Warren guy and I agree with this. A lot of people in the city will want Darius Smith talked about.

There is also a rumor going around that Lenzelle Smith will be transferring to Waukegan next year. His dad is switching churches from one in Zion to one in Waukegan. That would be 2 of the top 5 seniors in Illinois playing on the same team. Not sure how it will work cuz also heard they don't get along all that great. If that happens and they could play together, Waukegan would go undefeated next year.

Official Recruiting Thread II
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 18, 2009 -> 12:45 PM) I made the short drive to Hoffman Estates last night to see Jereme Richmond and Waukegan play. He is still sick (or so I was told, and so it appeared) and he probably didn't have his best game, but he still had about 18 points, several blocks, and 15 rebounds and Waukegan blew out high school basketball's answer to the Duke Blue Devils, Glenbrook North. Compared to the competition Waukegan had to beat to get to last night (Zion-Benton and Warren), the Spartans seemed an easier opponent, although I believe they had played twice this season, both close games, with GBN winning one. Not sure how that happened after watching that game. The point is though, in regards to this thread, even on a night where Richmond didn't play his best game, you could just see the talent. He had a few dunks, some incredible blocks, a ton of rebounds, and put up big numbers in a big game despite the fact he was getting mugged all night and didn't shoot great. Quan Connor missed the game for Waukegan. He is a huge part of their defense and gets about 12 pts a game. Richmond should win Mr. Basketball in Illinois.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 15, 2009 -> 07:34 PM) What time do you need to be there? There arent really backroads that you will get lost in. Its all really wide open you can see the Sears center from the Rte 59 exit and get there without needing the road names to find your way. Plus, if there is an event im sure they will have security guiding people in. Don't have to be there til about 5, but went to the same event 2 years ago and took me forever on back roads, so leaving extra early to beat traffic and will just go someplace to eat than head over.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 15, 2009 -> 07:30 PM) Its right off the IL90 Route 59 exit. The backroads it is listing are probably the little roads running around the Prairie Rock business park. If you exit at 59 you drive towards Rte 72(Higgins) and its there on your left off columbine blvd If I leave around 2pm, I should just go 94 to 90, right? I hate back roads.

Looking for the fastest way to the Sears Centre on Tuesday. Mapquest and those sites send me through all these back roads. Thought it would be easier to get to 90 West and run into it. Anyone?

Cornell muct have improved a lot to only have 9 wins. I remember watching them have problems with Indiana at the beginning of the year. Wasn't impressed. Ivy league schools are always sexy upset picks.

Personally, the only thing I don't like is Zona getting in over St. Mary's. Just me. St Mary's still played well without their best player and he is now back.

Oklahoma vs. NC would be sweet. I don't like Michigan's match up.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 15, 2009 -> 12:35 PM) The pool of at large teams last year was better than this year, and by a pretty wide margin. If Illinois State had put up the identical resume this season that they did last season, they'd have probably made the tournament. It's just bad timing and bad luck. You can't blame Illinois State for those 2 losses to Indiana State. I mean Larry Bird was dynamic. Committee should over look those losses.
