QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ May 16, 2005 -> 01:40 PM) Wow, that's interesting. They ADMIT that parts of their story are completely incorrect, yet won't formally retract it. They're admitting that they're wrong, but not formally. Sounds like the same thing to me. What a bunch of clowns. :headshake What part are they admitting wasn't correct? They don't really know what was correct. Newsweek is stuck between reporting on something from a few sources and pressure from the Pentagon and White House There is too much grey area to draw solid conclusions at this point. And those who are investigating have obvious reasons not to shed light on this. Putting the blame on others can be very convenient. I'm merely speculating Oh and a rolling eyes smiley for those of you calling me anti-American, how petty. :rolly

Book it Spiff, Batman Begins is going to be a solid flick!

QUOTE(mreye @ May 16, 2005 -> 08:24 AM) Gotta stay on that "Anti-American" soapbox, eh? Gotta stay on that "I don't know anything about this Canadian kid" soapbox, EH!

QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ May 16, 2005 -> 08:22 AM) So, why would they retract it? All that would do is undermine their credibility. They didn't retract it.

There's been a lot of news lately about Jane so I checked her out on snopes.com After reading it, I actually disliked her more. But some some of the POW stuff I've seen on here about her is not true. http://www.snopes.com/military/fonda.asp Lots more at the link

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 15, 2005 -> 05:50 PM) And this is exactly why I didn't get to wound up about this yet... Turns out that the article about the desicration of the Koran wasn't true. If the US media isn't jumping on this, they probably can't prove the story, or someone would be running this story. http://story.news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20050515/...han_newsweek_dc Interesting southsider, that's a weird way to show me that you have way too much faith in the American media.

He's always been a tool, you just have to look at some of the things he's said about Canada in the past.

Sorry that pic is not bigger. I'm pretty sure the website gives it's own description for yahoo so I'd say NBC was perfectly correct to say what they did (edit:maybe not). I also just looked it up on google but it says nothing about being conservative. So now I'm thinking Yahoo just made that up. Also courtesy wikipedia.org, I know, not the best source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judicial_Watch Cephas Ministry has this as an opening statement Don't know why you used this site as an example, they are obviously an extremely religious news source. In the end all this bias stuff is just frustrating and gets us nowhere.

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ May 11, 2005 -> 10:08 AM) Also: Baseball Stars, Contra, 10-Yard Fight, Double Dribble and Pro Wrestling for Nintendo Tetris for Gameboy. Had many sore thumbs because of that! Micro League Baseball for PC. There's a game called double dribble!?! Is the goal to of the game to be called for as many infractions as possible?

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:29 AM) The Gm can only do so much. Ownership has always been the problem there and always will be. Picks for New Manager? Personally I'm going with the small girl with the glasses in the Royals ad on MLB.TV. The one who thinks getting the wave going is the key to baseball games and pretends to understand Pena? I'd take her over Manuel.
