They can pretty much say nothing and talk around the question. TA didn't need to make the comment he did. I am pretty indifferent when it comes to TLR, so if they keep him fine if they don't that's fine too. He will make decisions that do not turn out well just like all managers do. If the Sox and Astros switched managers/coaching staffs for the their series would it have turned out differently? I would say probably not.

Agree, and Hahn needs to put his ego aside and not compound the mistake. I obviously have no inside information but on the surface the picking up the $16 million option feels like they are just hoping they will be able to find a trade partner to salvage something from the trade. Just admit you basically gave away a couple of players for nothing and move on. As already mentioned, they can recover from this trade if they just let it go.

This seems to make the most sense at this point. If they pick up the option at $16 million it just means Hahn can't admit it didn't work out and his stubbornness could end up doing more damage. Cut your losses and figure out how to spend the the $15 million in a much better way.

I am not making excuses for any of them. Fire TLR and the entire coaching staff, idgaf. They were outplayed from top to bottom. It isn't just the managing/coaching, it isn't just pitching, it isn't just hitting(or lack thereof). When you are asked to pitch you go out there and pitch and get hitters out. Of course your not always going to have success so you figure out how to fix your issues, don't make excuses.

You've got to be kidding, who are you their agent? You can spin it any way you want, but the pitching was flat out horrible. Go ahead and make excuses.
