Sure hope as others have mentioned they aren't paying him $12 million next season. I get what you're saying about being motivated because he is in a contract year, but I feel like he is highly motivated right now and that isn't helping. He just hasn't been the same pitcher since the sticky stuff ban, so it seems unlikely he is returning to anything that resembles how he was before.

2019 was a good year and it has been a slow decline since and banning the sticky stuff impacted him more than others. I hope you are correct but believe his better days are behind him.

Yeah he really isn't helping the team much playing injured, but his defense has been pretty good.
